So it looks like a 4.5/7 for last night (which follows a 4.6/7, 4.9/8 in other weeks). Will be interesting to see what the million viewers is...
From TV by the Numbers:
Code: Select all
Time Net Show Prelim Metered Market HH Rating/Share
8:00 FOX NLCS Game 5 (8p-11p) 5.7/9
CBS The New Adventures of Old Christine 5.4/9
ABC Pushing Daisies 4.7/7
NBC Knight Rider 4.5/7
CW America’s Next Top Model 2.7/4
8:30 CBS Gary Unmarried 5.3/8

Zap2It shows slightly better numbers with a 4.9/8 for Knight Rider - which matches the premier week??
In a tightly bunched 8 p.m. hour, FOX's coverage of the National League Championship Series (5.0/8) had the most viewers, even though CBS' "New Adventures of Old Christine" and " Gary Unmarried" which averaged 5.2/8, had a slightly better household rating. NBC's " Knight Rider" was right behind at 4.9/8. " Pushing Daisies," 4.2/7, improved slightly on its previous performances for ABC. An " America's Next Top Model" clip show drew a 2.2/4 for The CW.

TV by the Numbers had a new post with much better numbers. KR was 2 for the night only not beating new adventures of Old Christine.
Pushing Daisies gained ~740,000 viewers versus last week’s fast affiliate ratings and though that is some good news, the 18-49 demo rating was actually slightly down versus last week. The New Adventures of Old Christine and Gary Unmarried were also up slightly versus last week, and Knight Rider was up over last week by more than 900,000 viewers and also improved it’s 18-49 demo performance. People can slam Knight Rider — but it does especially well with men in the 18-34 and 18-49 demos and has won those demos a couple of weeks (though last week finished second to Bones).
Code: Select all
Time Net Show Viewers (Millons) 18-49 Rating/Share
8:00 CBS The New Adventures of Old Christine 7.74 2.1/6
NBC Knight Rider 7.65 2.3/7
FOX NLCS: Phillies/Dodgers Game 5 8-11p 7.26 2.4/6
ABC Pushing Daisies 6.29 1.9/6
CW America’s Next Top Model 3.18 1.5/4
8:30 CBS Gary Unmarried 7.71 2.4/

Wouldn't this also be skewed by the Obama special thing that interrupted KR on the East Coast? Or did that not air? I wasn't home last night to see.

Well, they seem to be consistent which is encouraging...

After last night's episode and the interruption next week, let's hope there will be an anticipation building for the next episode so the numbers will soar high for episode five.

I keep hearing this information getting confused alot. The Obama event isn't for another two weeks on Oct 29th. Last nights episode there was no delay or interruption and next weeks episode is also airing without interruption.

Ah, my bad, thanks for the clarification. Still, I wonder if the Presidential Debate had an effect on the numbers.

Whoa, that rocks! I hope this keeps consistant and encourages NBC to actually put the newly ordered scripts into production.

I'm really glad that the numbers went up and we seem to be staying consistent. Here's hoping for a full Back 9 sometime soon! And it looks like we came in second in the overall 18-49 demo second only to baseball! Sweet! Hopefully we keep these viewers that tuned in while Bones was on hiatus.

Old Adventures of New Christine 7.74 Million Viewers 18- 49 demo 2.1/6
Gary Unmarried 7.71 million viewers 18-49 demo 2.4/7
Knight Rider 7.65 million viewers 18-49 demo 2.3/7
Baseball 7.26 million viewers 18-49 demo 2.4/6
Pushing Daisies 6.29 million viewers 18-49 demo 2.4/6
Last night's episode of Knight Rider was the highest rated one this season. The ratings went up quite a bit from last week. It's showing growth. Nothing else in its time slot crushed it. The CBS sitcoms did slightly better. It's very encouraging. I also thought last night's episode was really good so hopefully it'll keep growing.

So which rating point should we go by the 4.5/7 or the 4.9/8?

I'll take the higher one, heh. This is certainly good news either way. That's a nice size bump from last week and unlike shows from last year like Bionic Woman which crashed and burned, it's holding steady.

I'm just glad this show is doing OVER 9000 times better than Bionic Woman!

Was TV by the Numbers used for last week's nielsons?
Because I noticed it was at 4th place, last week's episode was 3rd which leads me to believe that each week the series is slipping.
I'm confused by this because there doesn't seem to be a definitive rating ranking system.
However, judging by the ratings on the other sites, it is encouraging and if it is really true that it GAINED from last week then I don't see why NBC would not order more scripts to go into production.

It's just my luck that when I finally get a day off from work on Wednesday, those bloody debates have to ruin my night....even though I like watching the debates
Hey, I noticed they put a robotic reverb into KITT's voice on the HULU stream of Knight Rider, but the NBC has Kilmer's voice with no effects added. Has the broadcast episodes been doing the sound effect to KITT's voice since the beginning, or was this the first week with the effect added on?

When i started watching 4th episode, i became happy - KITT had robotic voice (When KITT showed Michael the holograph of those 2 men at night in the beginning of the episode), but later that effect disappeared.
