Was the KR08 theme song a little different tonight?

I'm new to this board, but I wanted to say that I'm very impressed with it; hands down the best KR website! I've loved the old series and the new one is quickly growing on me. It seemed that the new theme song tonight was a little different. It had a little more of the original beat to it didn't it? I don't like the heavy metal-type part to it towards the end. I LOVED the original beat as the it showed KITT driving in the desert on tonight's episode. Hopefully, NBC will continue to put the older classic signature KR moves in there along with the theme. I felt like I was a little kid again tonight when I watched it!

The theme is ever so slightly different, but what I noticed was that I think it's cut slightly shorter. The guitar solo seems to be slightly trimmed off and it ends more abruptly. But we're lucky to even have an opening credit sequence at all because of the necessary commercial time. Every second counts, I guess.

They've added KITTs scanner sound at the end of the theme, when you've got the car facing the camera. Don't think I've heard it last week.

Yeah it is a bit different. But I did notice that NBC intro is a bit longer than it is on E.
