knight rider online

have two newish commercials. one is :15 seconds and talks about the "need for speed" and the 2nd is :30 seconds long and kinda weird. They sepia toned the footage and try and tell a touching story of Michael and KITT.

Its weird cause I haven't seen the actual commercial for tomorrows episode after the end credits. it seems they keep trying these buzzy actiony teasers, but never show the stories.

What does everyone think?

I kinda thought they were trying to show the bond between a man and his car …the way they say share your mustang stories... It’s kinda like a Field of Dreams bonding type of thing I guess.

Its okay guys let it all out, have a good cry about your cars. I’ll still respect you.

The "Story of a car" commercial reminds alot of original KR...cool.

I think the Story of a Car commercial will work better with a slow-paced music and a conversation between Mike and KITT, as opposed to a narration...

I saw the Need for Speed one during SNL I was going to make a topic about it but changed my mind since I thought it sounded like they again had a altered Kilmer voice in it. But then I went back to watch the preview from the end of the first EP again and didn't really hear it. So it was just me...

After watching the HD clips, yeah it was just me and Story of a Car Commercial (SCC!) sounds about right, heh.

Sucks how times have changed with advertising, "product integration" and sponsoring. It's a sad, necessary evil that might be the one thing that could keep the show alive if the ratings don't improve, hopefully they will tonight. Hmm, yup, after 2am here so tonight works.

LOL!The :20 second ad well...needed a little more emotional touchy feely,but...eh...maybe not.

It is kind of an odd commercial compared to the ones they usually show of all the action. I like it but it might be a bit misleading. It promotes ore of the old KR style with mainly Michael and KITT as the focus whereas the new one moreso focuses on the entire team. I'm really hoping that the ratings improve even slightly tonight and that we win the Male demo again. On somewhat of a good note, our Season Premeire beat Chuck's from Monday from what i read.
