Just posed officially by NBC to air on 10/22
It's interesting that "Knight Fever" the 2nd episode shot, has still yet to be given an air date, probably at this point being pushed to November.

I almost can hear "Detroit Rock City" by KISS in the background. I don't know why I'm thinking of that.

Weird, I'd thought you'd hear "Rock N' Roll All Night" in the background.

Well, I guess it was the car that made me think "Detroit". LOL!

here is the official synopsis:
A CRIMINAL COUPLE WITH CONGRESSIONAL TIES THREATENS TO REVEAL THE SECRETS OF KNIGHT INDUSTRIES -- Knight Industries is hot on the trail of a Bonnie & Clyde-esque criminal couple, only to discover their true identities have a serious impact on a national congressional race. As the mission unfolds, Mike (Justin Bruening) and KITT (voiced by Val Kilmer) are forced into action to save Agent Rivai (Sydney Tamiia Poitier).

From that synopsis, I'm surprised it's not airing closer to the election.

The Original Series had loads of examples of the same thing, most notably with "Big Iron" in the second season. That show was one of the first episodes filmed for the second year (the 4th episode filmed), and was held back and aired as the last episode of the season nine months later! One for the trivia books, that episode is the only one that actually aired in the UK months before its first US broadcast.

Don't forget The Scent of Roses and VooDoo Knight.
Looks like, at least according to kittsite, that the order has been changed a bit and now Knight Fever is airing sixth now and the episode I consider sort of a counterpart to it, A Hard Day's Knight is airing next week. Good thing they put at least one episode between them (Knight of the Hunter is apparently airing 5th now) though they could probably use more since it's a bit monotonous.
First Mike is getting poisoned in A Hard Day's Knight and then in Knight Fever KITT is getting "poisoned" with a virus. That'll teach Knight Research to base KITT's OS off a Windows platform... Man I hope that was a tailor made virus or something makes this work more than it just being some computer virus that has nothing to do with KITT. Maybe they need to invest in a virus scanner, hell they could get one for free.

There's no teaser yet.

It's just there as a place holder I believe.
