Is there any chance someone might be able to tell me what program you use to attain the screen grabs or how they managed to get them in general i was looking forward to making a few great desktop screens but all i get is blurred images from print screen or a blank screen

Well there are many different ways, the quickest for me is to stop the video where I want it, hit print screen which copies your current screen to the clipboard, then paste into "paint" or "photoshop" and crop it. Takes me a few seconds and its done. When you do it, make sure you sharpen the image so it takes blur away.
