Hey, I am a new fan of Knight Rider and I am seeing these episodes for the first time. In Goliath, Are Micheal and Garth related in any way? I missed the very beginning of it, and wasnt sure if that explained anything.

Welcome!
Michael and Garthe are not related by blood, at all. Garthe was the son of Wilton Knight (the man who created the Foundation for Law And Government), and had Michael's face recreated in Garthe's image, because Garthe had been sent away for three consecutive life sentences in an African Prison, and nobody thought they would ever see him again.
Hope that helps!

What I don't understand is, if Wilton had been fol, lowing Michael for so long, why wouldn't he have had a picture of him? I mean, he should have known what the guy looked like right?

Are you talking about the comment in the pilot about "We will never know what he looked like?" That was just a statement to say that the surgery was so complete that nobody would know what Michael Long would look like if they looked at him directly.

Umm.. I took that from the Doctor as being the bullet came out of his face making him unreconizable right now.. so they couldn't rebuild his face like it was.... thats why they used Wilton's face for the reconstruction....

Nope, Wilton had it made in his (and later we find out, Garthe's) image, on purpose.

Well, Michael's being shot any way you look at it was a really an stroke of luck for Wilton and the foundation. Michael had to have the operation so that he would not be recognized by his enemies and to be able to carry out the missions in relative safety. Michael Long being shot gave the foundation the perfect oppertunity.

Thanks! That did help.
Micheal didn't look like that before he was shot? Interesting..... That's pretty cool.

No, he looked pretty close actually, but not quite... Watch Knight of the Phoenix, the beginning shows his "true face". Not sure the name of the actor that played him.. there are a few names on the caes, but not sure who is who.

The actor was Larry Anderson who played Michael Long.

Oh, and its refreshing to find someone else will practically ALL of my obsessions.

:D (Looked at your page) But yeah, they look a lot a like which I thought was kinda weird, but they sure did match his voice to the guy's lips rather perfectly in the Pilot for that time!

Larry Anderson was not credited for the part of Michael Knight, because he didn't have an actual spoken line throughout his brief appearance. They had looked for an actor who looked sort of like Hasselhoff, and they found Larry Anderson. They even had to curl his hair, because his hair was straight, to make him look more like Hasselhoff.
Anyway, Larry Anderson didn't do any of his lines, they overdubbed Hasselhoff's voice over his (which is why in one scene where he is in the car with Tanya, there is a brief moment where the words and Anderson's mouth are not in sync.) As typical with actors of that time, if they didn't have actual speaking lines, they didn't get credit for it. The last we see of Anderson is in the car, talking to Tanya. Once they get to the site, the person that bounced out of the car in the shadows was Hasselhoff.
There, how's that for overanswering a question?
