Knight Rider on iTunes

Well, like most of you, I first watched the series premier on Amazon Unbox, then I saw Hulu version. I have finally downloaded and watched it on iTunes, and I have to say, this is by far the best version of the three so far! The picture was VERY clear, I have a widescreen moniter, and I am guessing I was watching it in HD as clear as it was. The sound was WAY better than the other two versions. I could definitely see and hear things that I couldn't before, and with no commercials. The best part is I own it now! As a regular contributor her I suggest that everybody get this version, simply the best! 8)

The iTunes version is awesome. I think its great that they automatically include an SD copy with the HD copy - so I have something for my iPhone to watch. Was great on the subway today!

well my former statement of buying the HD Season Pass uhhh not! I couldn't get the HD Version to sync to my iPhone. That's ok though I haven't really been all over the HD/Blu Ray Wars and everything that they entail.

TV Shows from iTunes looooook wayyyyyy coooooool on the iPhone. I'm soooooo getting the iPhone 3G next week though.

I got the Amazon Unbox version and the HD and SD version from iTunes. I watched the iTunes HD version and for some reason it's a bit grainy. And I don't notice any more clarity on the HD version in regards to sound or video than I did on the Amazon version. I dunno, maybe it's something with my laptop video that it only can do so much...?

I played the Amazon version in Windows Vista InterDVD player, BTW.

You can't. Believe me, I've tried. Since the iTunes files are DRM-protected you can't do anything about it.

Here's what I did though when I watched it on TV yesterday. If you own a laptop, put the video to your laptop, sign in into your iTunes account in your laptop and you should be able to play it. Done that? Good, then grab a VGA cable connector (it's cheap) and connect the laptop to your HDTV. For goodness' sake I don't know why iTunes is so slow when you're using a dual monitor config (extending your desktop to the 2nd display), so put the display mode into "external display only" (thus turning off your laptop's display) and set the laptop to your TV's res (for common 720p TVs it's 1360x768). Don't put the laptop in clone display mode as you can't set your laptop to match the TV's res that way (the most you can do with that is 1280x768 or 1280x800 for some laptops, and it sucks big time on a 720p TV).

Once you've done that and you can see your desktop nice and clear on the TV, fire iTunes, load the video and go full-screen. That will do nicely. Oh and don't forget to connect the audio to your TV. A pair of Y-cables will do the trick.

My TV is an analog with a DTV converter box. LOL! So I guess that's out. I can watch it on the 24th though, if I don't get too many dropsies again with my new amplified antenna I just bought. It's slightly better, but not much. :?

If you got an S-Video In on your TV then by all means use it, many laptops come with an S-Video out these days, so here's hoping that yours have one  If the TV doesn't have an S-Video In, try to look for an S-Video to Yellow Composite Cable connector, that will work out too.

Nope. I'm saying my TV is SO old that it doesn't have S-Video at all. Nothing. Just RCA jacks for video and audio in the back and RCA jacks for a line in (game) in the front (which is used for an Atari Joystick game ;) ) That's how old the TV is. It has a built-in VCR. I don't have any hope to buy a newer TV due to my finances so it'll have to do. And besides, I watch "TV" on the laptop most of the time anyway. LOL!

I wonder if all the flashbacks that NBC had cut out will be in the iTunes version?

Nah, the only way we're going to see them is if they're put up on the Knight Industries Research site.

I would sure like to see a directors cut with them in. Each time Mike has one of his episodes would be another flash back. I think it would have really heightened the feel of the whole show. Not to mention better explain why he lost the briefcase or what was happening at the end. I do wonder what this will mean for that storyline down the road.. now that they have me all suspicious of Torres and all.

Is anyone still getting it from I tunes? I've decided to record it straight to my dvd burner each week instead. I'm sure I'll regret later that I don't have it in HD, but by then the box set will be out.

This last episode where he was poisoned, Mike was supposed to have several military flashbacks with clues to his past, it even said so in the advertisements, but NBC cut them out.
