I never seen a KITT replica in my life, unfortunately, let alone sit inside one. You were so lucky! I love to see the big smile on the faces of fans that got to sit inside KITT. I'd be like a kid on Christmas morning! LOL!

Did Shado start ok after you returned to your car?

What KITT was that and at what event?

Just a couple of pics. These were taken at "Knights At The Rock" in Halifax, UK last year a couple of months before the now famous Knightcon UK.
Looking forward Knightcon08 next month!!

Well Weeezl and FuzzieD, considering SHADO’s attitude at comic con I decided to leave him at home and took the subway for this event. This was the Gumball Rally and the Night Rocker KITT.
(By the way thinking of SHADO, today he has custody of himself! That’s right paid in full!!)

Focus, Very cool! In the US it must be a challenge to drive KITT with that steering wheel, but in the UK it’s on the wrong side too!

Before yesterday, I had never sat in a K.I.T.T. replica before, either. But a few months ago I discovered that there was a partially completed replica in my own town. I had posted these pictures in another thread, and since I was the one snapping the shots I am not in them, but they're applicable here and was the closest I had gotten to seeing a replica in person:









The first time I saw this car, its license plate said "KNIGHT" but with a number substituting for one of the letters (I won't say exactly which one for the owner's privacy). The next time I stopped by with a camera a few months later, it had a non-personalized plate.

And, well, I guess I should just repost this one in this thread:

I did have the honour of driving the one I was sat in, owned by my very good friend, Steve!! I found myself veering to the middle of the road with being on the wrong side of the car (for our roads) but it was an experience to remember, especially with the gullwing!

It was a very wet Yorkshire day but it was the prelude to what would become Knightcon, which is going to be MASSIVE this year.

I definitely would love to see some info on Knightcon if anyone's going and would like to report back about the event here in the forums. Neat that you got to drive one!

Only the one pic of me beside K.I.T.T. as nobody was really allowed to touch him!

Those pics are a few years old now,there was a classic car show here in Dundee. They had another last year,but no K.I.T.T.
