I had this thought where if the Knight 2000 were to guest on the show, we could see a scene where both cars are racing to the rescue. KI3T morphing into Attack KITT and KI2K going into SPM and they'd alternate showing the different stages between the two cars as they race along!

That would rock!

yea it would be cool but how will they make the old KITT go into SPM? i mean they can't use the old sequence

They can use CGI just like KI3T does when he morphs into Attack Mode.Instead of having things morph,they'll pop out.We never saw KITT go into SPM as a whole,and this can be the chance.

And I think they can use old footage because if I remember right, there wasn't much of the surrounding area shown to be recognizable when they showed KITT transform. So they could use it in any episode. Still could work.

If they do that I would love to see KI2T go into SPM with some CGI!

I dunno if that'd work unless they messed with the aspect ratio of it or added some fake extensions to the sides, unless the original show was shot in widescreen and then cropped. It'd look odd and out of place. Might just have to go with CGI for the transformation, I'm sure they could borrow a SPM KITT and do it in a way the Attack KITT is going to be done, it'd be interesting to see it without all at once and without the recycled footage that was used almost every time in the original series.

There's no reason why KI3T couldn't morph into the shape of KITT. Apart from Ford going ape *?$# at that idea of course.

I know Jay O's Star Cars is building a perfect SPM Kitt replica. Maybe they could rent it for the new show, I just hope it would be ready in time.

Right, that's I was getting at in using just a similar CGI transformation effect with the transition from regular KITT and SPM KITT as what will be used for the new KITT/Attack KITT transformation, though maybe a little more simple. I'm sure they could borrow or buy the one he's building.

He's asking $75,000 for perfect SPM Knight Rider replicas.
By TV car standards -- that's dirt cheap.

The batmobiles for example cost millions..... On one of the more recent car TV shows: Nash Bridges, they spent about $100,000 per beauty car (fully restored Hemi Cuda clones).... $75k seems like a relative bargain.
