I don't think that just because there's a new Knight Rider, we should start referring to the original car any differently.

He's not KI2T!

I agree, but in some instances it's just more convenient to use the numbers, so I do only when it's most practical.

I usually just use "original KITT" and "new KITT". *Shrugs*

That seems to be the easiest way to distinguish between the two. It's the easiest ans quickest way when typing to just add a "3" instead of a "T" when reffering to the new KITT, the Knight Industries THREE Thousand. Makes sense.

You guys make good points. I guess I was just a little irked to see him being referred to as anything else after being KITT for 26 years.

Just remember everyone, we still don't know (dare I say it) how the series with the Three Thousand is going to do....

We use KI2T & KI3T on here to quickly identify which one were talking about, so to avoid confusion.

Having said that, who knows how the new Kitt will pan out until we see some episodes?

Theres room for two, Kilmers talented enough to give this new car a character, Im a big fan of his movies and Im sure he will shine!

I agree with you wholeheartedly. Even if the new series is an absolute smashing success.

While I personally wasn't the biggest fan of this new pilot, I do think Val Kilmer was a good choice. We'll have to wait and see.

I hope this new show is gonna be a big success also, KR for the new generation! but even so there is only one Kitt and only one William Daniels, he made the car come alive and did such a good job of it were all here 26 years later talkin about it!!

KI3T is cool without a doubt and I hope Kilmer puts his best into it!, they need to get this right because Kitt is an Icon! as stated in the new promo`s, I have faith though, theres some serious talent behind the new series!
