If the show get cancelled before a 2 session..if will be because of what? what would make the show taken off?..to me it would be because it being a mustang..to bulky..to much overkill on the car looks.

possibly because of bad ratings

How the car looks in Attack Mode, and they whole transformer thing. I know they are trying to be futuristic, and trying to be ahead of their time like their predecessor was, but, I just don't see that happening.

If it were to happen, I believe it would either be because of low ratings or the fact that the show would be too expensive to keep on the air, or a combination of both. As long as NBC doesn't move its time slot around and gives it sufficient time to find an audience, I think we'll be good for at least two seasons. If it can get renewed beyond the first 13 episodes, I do believe it will also be able to make it to a second season.

In my opinion it will be because they didn't "get it". They didn't respect and reference the original mythology that made Knight Rider work the first time enough to build a believable bridge between the past and the present.

Although..."getting it" is really only applicable to us, the fans of the original. It's more than clear that they are leaning more toward targeting a new audience and therefore will likely want to change the tone. It's a question of if the original fan base is larger than the newer fan base, and if we'd cause a big enough blow to ratings.

Why must people be so negative?

We're lucky Knight Rider is back at all, just enjoy it, I'm going to.

the nielsen rating system sucks, its hard to get a good idea of how many people are really watching a tv show when you only have 35,000 people in 12,000 households voting on what everybody gets to watch, i just hope a majority of the nielsen audience watches the new knight rider. i guess we will have to wait and see.

We shouldn't be negative.Who knows?Maybe KR '08 will last longer than the original series,just like the Star Trek series.The original Star Trek only lasted 3 seasons,but all the other sequels,such as TNG(The Next Generation),DS9(Deep Space 9),Voyager,and Enterprise all lasted more than that.KR '08 can never take place of the original KR,but it can continiue it's legacy that the original KR made so many years ago.It only has to stay true the original KR,and have good directing,writing,and acting.

Thanks, posative is what we need about the new Knight Rider.

So Kitt's not a trans am, so David Hasselhoff is not the star, it is now 22 years since the orignal ended.

Whilst the 80's Knight RIder is fantastic, times change I'm sure as we get used to moderm Knight Rider most of us will love it.

When you look at the pile of rubbish that has come before, Knight Rider 2000 and team Knight Rider, KR 08 is leaps ahead already.

i believe the producers have gone a bit overboard with some things,
especially the tranformers morphing.

it looks ridiculous.

also, the attack kitt looks a bit stupid.

they should have made the attack kitt completely black, absolutely everything.
make it so that the red scanner sticks out at night, and nothing else.

sometimes less is more.

looks like after TKR they still haven't learned! oh dear!

I don't know why you would want to dwell on the negative. Let's discuss what would keep the show on, not what would cancel it. Remember, a small percentage of shows even make it to a second year, regardless of their fan base. We don't need negativity here. We need support.

Thats right, nobody is realy giving this a chance, we've only seen the pilot and preiviews of the new series,

At least lets hold fire, untill it's into sort of mid season before we judge it.

If the new show gets picked up for a second season it will be because of...

A likable cast
Good humor
Cool action sequences

With all the negativity on the board about the new series, I thought we have to do something.
I mean, there are a lot of things I would have done different for the show, and especially for the car.
But just complaining or not watching doesn't give us a better show.

So I thought, maybe we should collect all the things we would change, take the parts we all agree on and make a list. This we could give to Gary Scott Thompson, I have the impression he is willing to listen to fans.
Maybe we can help make the better.

Well that's a Monday, so unless NBC moves it between now and then, it's not likely to be on that day regardless of whether or not it's canceled.

Because it is a mix of Viper and TKR, also the Attack KITT looks like the offspring of the Mad Max falcons and the car from KR 2010.

Aside from from being a Monday, that'd be before the new season would start and NBC doesn't seem to be all that up on showing reruns anymore.

I'll take your bet, with some modifications: The show could have a season finale in May and then not return until January, so technically it would not be on the air in August. The spirit of the bet is "Will Knight Rider be renewed for a second season?"

If the new Knight Rider is NOT renewed, I will donate 10 dollars to Patricia McPherson's environmental charity The Grasroots Coalition. If the show IS renewed, then you donate 10 dollars. This way, regardless of what happens we're helping a good cause. Are you in?

KI3T himself looks like he's the offspring of KITT and Optimus Prime!About the fact that you think it's a mix of Viper,it seems that way.Especially when KI3T's a COBRA.
