7/7/08: Mike is reunited with an old friend by the name of Sean.
- KITT electrically shocks a drunk person who is about to vomit on his hood.
- It seems as though there is a car race at some point.
- KITT transforms into a 4x4 varation and also has the ability to project a hologram.

Hologram Projection huh...interesting. Didn't KITT 2k have some sort of 4x4 feature in one of the episodes of the original series? I seem to vaguely remember something along those lines. KITT shocking the drunk guy sounds like it could be funny if done right.

Seems like there following on with the Knight episode titles of the original series.

yeah in Speed demons he used High Traction Drop downs (HTDD). Im not sure wheter he used em in any other episodes. (im still at season3's Bad Apples)

i like the hologram idea, also the 4wd, as long as it is NOT an SUV and stays a Mustang. I remember they did the high traction drop downs after KITT flipped over a few times going up a hill. I liked how KITT would occasionally roll over, and end up un damaged . (but upside down )

Hmm...4x4...hologram projection...is NBC sure this isn't a Viper remake?

The HTDDs were one of KITT's many one-use-only functions. They addressed the traction again in Season 4's "Hills of Fire" with Traction Spikes (nails that pop out of KITT's tires).

"One use functions" like driving on water in Return to Cadiz. It was such a rediculous and complicated idea they only did it once and somehow thought using it for Knight Rider 2000 would make it better?

There was also an off-road suspension system that Bonnie installed for the race in "Knight Of a Thousand Devils." Though that feature made no difference in K.I.T.T.'s appearance.

i seem to remember a discussion a long time ago on the general board about how KITT probably should have been 4wd anyway as the ultimate car...

Episode 1-3 - Journey to the End of the Knight - Mike races KITT in an off-road race (this confirms 4x4 mode reference). Meanwhile, Sarah becomes concerned about Mike's poor judgement.
Set to air October 8th, 2008.
