Okay here’s a question that’s been in the back of my mind. What’s with naming the bad car KRO? Hummm? Cause hey, wait a minute, we were here first!

I can remember what the forum looked like back when TKR was announced, it's come a long way since then. Anybody got some screen caps for old times sake?

Well in 1995 I think I was about 15, I had an Apple 2e and a dot matrix printer and I don’t think I knew what the internet was yet. But by the time of TKR I think I might have known a little HTML...

I always took KRO as a nod to us (ha) but it really meant Knight Reformulation One

Yeah, TKR has been up on Hulu for awhile now, I'm pretty sure KRO has a story about it. I've been meaning to check out more old shows there but I haven't ever gotten around to it.

I got the TKR dvd's right from the guy selling them on ebay before he released them :)They look dead on compared to the knight rider season 1-4 dvd sets.

Lessee... in 1995 I just moved to a new apartment, was a sysop on GEnie Information services (well, just was about to leave later in the year as GEnie was going downhill). I had a Tandy 2500 RSX (386/SX with 1MB RAM and 60MB HD and a secondary 100MB HD). I was 29. And I was on the internet too.

I don't remember KRO because I had got back into it in around 2004 (look at my avatar area - I been here 4 years already. WOW!)

neps taught me that Knight Rider Online is like the Hotel California - you can check out any time you like but you can never leave.

(For those that don't know what I'm talking about, it's kinda an inside joke neps I'm sure would get )

Wow! I enjoyed that blast from the past! This kind of stuff fascinates me. Were did the time go. I can remember making my own little html website like it was yesterday. It wasn’t about KR though.

Yup! I won 2 Edwards Awards one year for one of my fic, and I won a fanfic contest here on KRO during the 10th anniversary celebration and won a $10 coupon at 80s Tees. Which I bought the KITT T-shirt where he's on a Green grid/matrix! I still have that shirt and was wearing it when the new KR movie aired. And will wear it when I watch the first episode of the new series!

My next-door neighbor's SUV we named "Scooby" (She has a Scooby-Doo air freshener in it.), My next-building neighbor's PT-Cruiser is named "Al Capone" or we just call him "Old Al" even though the car is practically new. Then there was KITT, my former neighbor's Mitsubishi Eclipse (he since moved, but we stay in touch). Then there's guys in the car club I used to be in. There's Spankey, a car club member's 1990 Pontiac 6000 with All Wheel Drive (VERY rare car!), and his firebird/trans-ams (80s): Black-T, Lady Jade and Black Cherry. And his Olds Trofeo named Truffles. My dad had a 1970 or '72 Honda 600 named "Rollerskate". My 1983 Chevy S-10 I used to have my dad named "Slushbox" because it had automatic transmission. I miss Slushie as well, even though that was a lemon of a truck! Then there's other's Pontiac 6000's like Goolie (6000 LE), Manta Ray, Grey Ghost, Duke George IV, so many I can't even remember the names! You'd be surprised how many name their cars. Oh yeah, and another neighbor has a Buick named "Scarlett".

Yup! And I think they are both rather cool! Even though the NT reminds me vaguely of Christine's ability to repair herself (anyone see that movie? I LOVED it!)

I definitely need to join KRA, the only problem is if you sit us all down in a circle together we will probably start talking about KR. I think the therapist would run out the door screaming.
