I bought a copy of this last week and it arrived today. The entire movie is on this DVD without the NBC logos and there's a still menu with the KR08 theme playing behind it. It's a neat item and who knows - may be a collectible in the future so I recommend picking it up.

Whoever they were actually sent to could get in trouble. Those things are encoded and traceable.

With a recent ruling regarding the resale of promotional CDs which I think this would fall under so they'd be safe as long as they didn't sign any kind of agreement that they'd be violating by doing so. If the ruling stands the appeal it would set some precedent on this sort of thing and of course record, tv/film and other companies would have a fit just as they already do when it comes to resale of used media. Conveniently, the suit was brought on by Universal Music.

Hmm this is very interesting, I hadn't heard or even thought about this. It's a nice piece to have and hopefully the seller has permission to sell these - I have seen quite a few on Ebay recently.

Another interesting thing about this DVD...the Pilot movie is given a title: "Prometheus". They probably added that once they decided it was going to series.

Finally! My boss remembered to bring it in for me! I took some pictures so I could brag… err a.. show it to you.



I just hit play and I see it starts with a mountain at night, I can’t recall it started that way when it was broadcast did it? I think it started with the dwp truck pulling up to the house. But that was so long ago i can't be sure.

No there was a mountain... also Sue... could you paahhhleaaaasseeee rip the theme for us... it is rumoured the DVD menue has the full theme without the sound effects on it.

Sorry guys, guess it was just a rumor, my menu only has a 30 sec loop with the sound effects still in. The version I made from the intro was 58 sec.

Female Knight Rider fans eh? , Im in the process of converting two of em right now lol, Ive had Knight Rider episodes on repeat, My little girl goes nuts when the music comes on lol and my girlfriend actually admitted it was quite good today! Progress Made!
