I'm sorry if this has been posted before but just now I discovered that the tagline for Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior (Just one man can make a difference) is the same as the main idea of Knight Rider. Do you think Larson got the idea from there? This isn't much but I think it's interesting

Absolutely not. Far as I know he drew most of his inspiration from
The Lone Ranger, Asimov's three laws, and
2001: A Space Odyessy as explained in
Knight Rider Legacy. I also believe he adapted ideas from the General Lee jumping in
The Dukes of Hazard but his own spin on it to create the concept of "turbo boost"

It is rather funny isn't it, the tag for the Road Warrior is Just one man can make a difference. Then you go back to the beginning of Mad Max, when we are introduced to the Pursuit team, and who are they chasing?? None other than "The Night Rider!!!" as he exclaimed several times. I love those movies, and Max's car! His car had nothing on KITT though

Those are definitely interesting coincidences.
