The first pic I know 100% sure, it's Majorette Pontiac Firebird 1/62 scale diecast toycar purchased in the 1980's. The base plate says also Made in France and strangely 2 different numbers, "No 248" and under the front nose "No 293". The scanner is added by me & the front airvents are originally silver. Tried also the pilot version of the scanner:

Biggest flaw in this toy is the too wide wheels & too high ride height but that helped the undercarriage to take the stress from Turboboost landings

AHh very interesting...so that first pic is not an officially licensed KR toy, but a stock Firebird that you added the scanner to...well you did a great job! Looks very convincing!

Hey guys,
the last pic of the odd shape KITT, was from a Knight rider set
that consisted of a type of barn with obstacles, barrells etc,,,
think the set was called Knight rider :barn busters
that kitt was a stunt car / was a pull back if i remember
(i used to have this when i was very young)
kitt had 2 pegs that came out of the side of a couple of the wheels
kitt would race throught the barn the pegs would hit the sides of the barn, making it go into ski mode as it crashes through the barn doors
will try to find more pics from the web
