just a question to throw out there: Will the pilot be released on DVD or are they gonna wait untill they have a season 1 done?

Far as I know, no official announcement has been made yet, but for a pilot like this, which was clearly designed so that it could be split up and aired as a two-parter later in reruns (As opposed to a 3 or 6 hour "miniseries" pilot), it would be very unusual to release it separately. I'd say that the safe bet is that you're going to have to wait for the season boxset.
