I'm thinking of going with a theme for my Knight-Inspired Trans Am, that ties the 2 series' together. What do you think? I'm going with a ram air hood, the same one Mike Ott has on Kitt-X.
Which looks better? Flat black stripes:

Or faint silver stripes:

I know they are the same Mustang, but the different views show a different take on the stripes. The stripes will start on the hood, not the bumper. This is the hood I'm talking about:

Hmm...I think the matte black would be pretty awesome, giving Kitt that aggressive look he needs in his persona. You should go to a body shop and lay the stripes over the hood next to each other, then post the picture here. You might have an instant answer anyway : ) I can't wait to see the final photo!

The exterior won't be done until the supercharged 6.0 and 6-speed go in. I do hope to be done by summer. Does anyone have any 'choppin' skills that can 'chop flat black stripes on Mike Ott's Kitt-X?

Racing stripes on a Trans Am?
Sorry, but I just can't seem to visualize that. I would think that would look odd. But then again, some would say it would look odd on a 4-door sedan and racing stripes rocked on my car (when I had the stripes on).
Take your car into like PhotoShop or something and experiment and see what color stripes (and size of stripes) you'd like. Better than putting them on the car and finding out after the fact that you don't like them. Stripes can damage the paint. I know from experience.

Some people told me that the silver KARR stripe on the bottom half of an '07 Charger Daytona would look odd. So I just went around the doors and it looked a lot better. They also thought a scanner would look odd. Okay, maybe the scanner did, but the silver job is wicked-sweet. Put a little red pinstripe near the top of it and it's ace.
I think you should script 'KITT' or 'K.I.T.T.' or 'K2000' (or whatever you call our four-wheeled friend) on the fender or on the spoiler, probably in either silver or red (to complement the scanner). I put 'KARR' in a custom calligraphy on the bottoms of the rear doors of the Charger. Maybe our cars could be brothers!

?
By the way, what does it mean when people call it a 'Kitt-X'?

Kitt-X is what he calls his car, it's over at the Registries. I'm going to try using paint or photoshop to give a better idea.

I like the flat black. If GM actually offers a V8 package for the new Camaro (and I can afford to get one!) I plan on getting it in black with the flat matte black rally stripping.
