For a site that was so eager to be one of the first to break the news about K.I.T.T. being a Mustang, they sure were quick and harsh to dismiss the entire production after it aired. Not that anyone here took them seriously in the first place seeing as how that was one rare time they were actually accurate.

Judging by the trailer i've seen for the Speed Racer movie i dont think KI3T has anything to worry about

I don't know anything about the movie really. But I loved the show when I was little, but even then - before I liked Knight Rider, it was just some show my mom watched, I could tell that KITT was more or less alive and could probably beat the Mach 5. I did always think it was interesting that they could both jump. Not that the new one can...

Comparing a cartoon vehicle with K.I.T.T. is absurd to begin with. Even if the upcoming movie is live-action, it's still based off a cartoon and made to be a live-action cartoon. This reminds me of when Teddy and Vern were comparing Mighty Mouse to Superman in the movie Stand By Me.

Can the Mach 5 beat a jet airplane???

KITT could...and already did, so long ago...without the SPM upgrade. Just get away from all those pesky city streets and floor it...
