Firefox News is a fan-based blog site covering entertainment and genre news. They invited me to write a review of the new Knight Rider. I specifically wrote it with the non-fan in mind, so I gave it a much broader overview than I might do here on KRO:

Well, I totally disagree with your assessment of Kilmer's performance.

I agree to some extent the Hoff cameo feels tacked on. I was hoping Michael would be playing a much bigger role in everything but at the same time I'm glad they had that and I really get the feeling that if it goes to series we'll see much more of Michael. I think they just simply felt it was important to let the new story stand on it's own before having a passing the torch moment. If there was a cautious feeling I think it's because they didn't want to throw every idea out in the pilot and leave nothing for the series and also because they are trying to gauge what their own balance between classic elements and modern style should be.

It's not like Doctor Who where they found that equalibrium right off the bat. For the KR creators it may be a bit more of a process that'll evolve out of what they've learned from making the pilot and the audiences reception.

Nice review Michael! It's good to see one review that doesn't harp on alot of negativity and seems fairly balanced.
