Hmmm, came here about ten minutes ago and turned it on and didn't see anything, maybe I was ten minutes too late... How's the car look in person?
I agree, cold here also and too..... Much... Snow... Damn city plow....
EDIT: Guess I did miss it then, d'oh! Oh well, what about this lady suing Best Buy? O_o

Yeah, the lead-in could have been better...Matt Lauer said something like "remember this?" like they were going to flash back to the original but instead they showed a clip from the NEW show. A little confusing...But, Justin did great and the car looked quite sharp.

I caught that too Shapeshifter. I thought Justin handled himself well, not sure how it came across on tv. I'm sure it will be on today.msnbc.com later - it usually is.
The best thing about it for me wasn't the interview, but what happened afterwards. They (not justin, but KITTs handler) drove KITT out of the Plaza and onto the streets of NYC! What a crazy thing to see! I got some great shots of it.
On Saturday, Justin will appear Weekend Today (tent at 8:30 AM) and Fox News Channel's "Fox and Friends" (at 9:50 AM).

It's up on the TODAY show site now:
http://allday.msnbc.msn.com/archive/200 ... 67730.aspx
I wish Justin would learn when the show first aired - he says "September 27, 1983"...only a year and a day off!

though he did say he started watching it in the third season, so he's actually a year early!

BTW! KITT is not SMOKING! That's steam leaking from the manhole, a common occurance in NYC!

Hmm the embedded video player didn't work for me, but I found it on the the Today Show page. I think the think the mistake on the "it's back" thing is the fault of bad timing. Then again it might have been a good idea to point out that it was a new KITT also...

That's the idea. Pick the car mainly because of a business deal with the mentality that "people will accept it eventually because they'll have no choice" and magically it's grown on everybody. The fact of the matter is that most fans are not going to want to hate the car or the production after waiting years for it to be resurrected, and so the dislikes will be put aside. I'm not "hating" on the car or choices behind it, just being real.
There's other cars that could have been picked that people would have hated at first, and the more promotion and footage is shown, fans would come around and be saying the same things they're now saying about the Mustang.
And don't get me wrong; I personally think the car does look cool. It's just accepting it as K.I.T.T. is the hurdle for me.

Great pictures Neil!!
Looking forward to seeing tomorrow's appearance. Just wish both appearances were on stations I can view. Going to be missing the Fox one. All I get is the regular Fox station.
Oh well, what about this lady suing Best Buy?
This lady was on about half an hour before Justin because she is suing Best Buy for about $54 million because they lost her computer when she sent it in through them for repairs. She didnt find out for about 3 months they had lost it and all her work files and personal files like tax information were on it.

Saw the video and afterwards watching it I got where she was coming from and from my own personal experience, Best Buy's "service" is pretty much garbage filled with many unqualified people, not all but still a lot of people who wouldn't know their backside from a hole in the ground.. I doubt she'll win that amount but considering what they did and didn't no, they deserve to be punished for their ineptitude.

Best Buy, Future Shop, they're all a pain to send computers away with. I havent heard of a positive experience before.
Going to be missing the Fox one. All I get is the regular Fox station.
Nevermind that. Found out the digital box gets the station. Which is good, plus it allowed me to realize my box is malfunctioned and had to go out and exchange it...within half an hour.
