Footage Shown at Knightcon 07

Greetings everyone,

Glen has given me permission to release the footage that was previously exclusive to Knightcon 07 as his way of saying to the fans, "I really am working on this movie and to keep the faith."

He agrees that he has to do something to counter the actions of Universal/NBC's Knight Rider TV show announcement and while he is formulating his own response for the press, I have been given permission to get the ball rolling on the more fan related movie sites.

I am going to release the footage exclusively on AICN because I have a good friend there named Merrick whom I have trusted with scoops in the past who will give this announcement it's proper release.

After that it doesn't matter where it ends up (probably youtube I'd imagine), but I want to break it there first since it will stand the chance of getting the most attention and will be placed in it's proper context.

Keep an eye on Aintitcoolnews.com for the official release, it should be going up sometime later this week and I will post when it has been posted up there accordingly so that you all can check it out.

Well, let's hope they keep it inline/on track /true to the KRpremise-show-at least from the pilot and-or- the introduction of KARR....

If ya got some release footage...let 'er rip...! I myself have been whacking-hacking-pulverizing a typewriter program on my home P/C here....doin up two KR stories....BASED on KR but I created different folk
(Now before you freak out & yell ) & a few main cast members from the show are in the stories BRIEFLY...I did bring Back Wilton Knight-he faked his death in the storylines I am scribing ) But they'll proboably never see light of day-or maybe I'll post em here!

ANYWAY....LOOKING TOWARDS THE FUTURE....Hopin to ride with a Knight again.. "a shadowy glimpse into a world of a man who does not exist."

The script title page looks awesome. I hope that it will be the movie poster. Please I hope they use a Vette!

Damn, how much would you pay just to be able to read that script?

As regards the Vette, if Pontiac are too dumb to revive the Trans Am before shooting starts, I think it's the only sensible choice for the new KITT. An American classic that's sleek and sporty without straying into supercar territory. I bet Chevrolet would be only too happy to sign up!

Finally, is it wrong that I hope both the new Universal/NBC pilot and Glen's movie get made?

Absolutely not! :)

I wouldn't count on KITT being a vette, too many curves and not enough angles.

There's no way Pontiac could make a new Trans Am in time. Look at
the new Camaro, the concept has been out for years and it still in not
yet in production. and don't tell me yes it is, it was in Transformers...
The Transformers Camaro was a rebodied GTO, not a Camaro.

We will see something elsefor sure, I just hope it isn't one of those
retro looking cars. You know it will be something sporty and not yet
on the market, like the 82 was back then.

Greedy aren't we

I really don't know how this is going to pan out, but I'm hopeful for both. My only concern is that the concept maybe too similar that one will repeat the other.

Universal could be really crafty and wait for the film and then use that as a basis for the series.....though thats going to open up another can of worms in copyright material right?

PS: hope our friends on KR-UK are back up soon. Some SOB has hacked the site again. Patriot hacker, yeah right!!

You have NO idea how happy it made me to read that... considering you have an "in".

I do some advertising work for GM... corporate politics aside, it's hard not to imagine which cars would make a decent KITT from time to time. The 350Z was my fanboy fav for a while. It def. needs to be something cool and "angular"... but nothing too "exotic".

Well what else could you suggest KITT to be, the 2010 Camaro maybe? The Z06 would be a wiser choice than a standard vette since it looks better and has more angles, check out this pic:

I do wonder though, why Larson doesn't want to hep universal with the new series? and use his move for that? Unless he thinks that would restrict the movie to TV-only.

But I know very little of the film/television industry, so I'll keep my mouth shut.

I'm glad Glen Larson filmed that little segment. Now I feel like I can take the news seriously. I do find it very interesting that he said, "Michael Knight will ride once more." Since it doesn't seem like he's going to include David Hasselhoff, it appears as if another actor will be playing the role. Hmm...

I'm doubting that he was hinting at storyline moreso than just wanting to get the point across that the movie is in development. :D

um...am i mistaken or didnt i see Glen Larson listen as the Executive Producer on the NBC KR movie/series?

doesnt that mean he was a part of it?

what's that mean for him doing the movie? from what i've read in here he was either doing one or the other...not both

Yes, Glen Larson receives Executive Producer credit in the new TV Movie. That is more of a contractual obligation / "courtesy" on the part of NBC. Larson is working on a feature film but is not involved with the production of the TV project.
