Question Daivd Hasselhoff Video Fallout

Dear KR Fans,
Do you feel the release of the "drunk Hasselhoff" will hurt his career? I mean with...current fans and future fan bass? Especially, with the younger kids watching SpongeBob SquarePants:The Movie one minute... and then turning to something like this the next? I mean parents can't block every channel and kids are bound to figure out how to get access to it.

This topic upset me as soon as I saw it on "Extra". I thought, "God, please tell me that isn't who I think that is... I kept watching the video and thought I can't believe I'm watching someone who I and many of us looked up to as an "American icon" fall from grace. I felt a little bit dissapointed, and a little angry at first but, I then realized that with alcoholism, drug abuse, or, even an eating disorder, these individuals "struggle" with their demons on a daily basis. I mean we all struggle at some point in our lives right?
And, fall from grace too. So, what gives me the right to judge DH. I do feel that Daivd will have to work hard to repair his image.
I think current fans will not turn there back on "the Hoff". Future fans maybe he will have to show them more of the "real" caring individual he really is.

I saw on the news that he received a standing ovation at his show the other night, so I'd say his career's in good shape.

I also think, that this wont affect his career in a negative way, but i am curious about the LARRY KING Interview his ex is giving on May 7th.

I wouldn't give that Larry King interview a second thought at all, if it means that DH's ex-wife will trash him once again.
As for DH's career, I don't think his career will be ruined by the leaked video of himself having a relapse
at all, and I hope DH himself will give some interviews instead of his ex-wife.

The video won't hurt his career at all. There is no such thing as bad publicity. If anything, sales of Baywatch and Knight Rider DVDs will probably skyrocket, as well as other projects in which he's involved with. It's not even like the tape is so horrible...it's just sad and as with anything else, the media has blown it out of proportion.
