Hi KR Fans of all ages,
I come to you with some good news concerning the Knight Rider: The Movie update that I found on William Daniels webpage, the one with the Encyclopedia attached to it.
In the start of the project in 2005, DH had fought with the studios production poeple saying that he wanted his beloved sidekick Kitt with the same personally, and to add his character, [Michael Knight]as the leader of FLAG since the death of Devon Miles in the Knight Rider 2000 TV movie.
At first the production company didn't buy it and the project came to a stop. Then, the company decided to see things Hasselhoff's way and had a complete script change. Rumor has it, DH many play Michael Knight as the leader of FLAG but, adopt a son [Orlando Bloom] the police officer left for dead. The film would be darker but, still illustrate that foxy humor from Kitt, that we all know and love. There's no word if any of the other cast members from the show will be in the movie. I'm hoping Lord willing... that William Daniels will agree to play Kitt as I'm sure you all are hoping and praying for the same thing.
It's not easy to get the same "chemistry" when you're use to certain actors, or actresses for a certain character. It's like replacing the characters of Miami Vice can't be done.
Anyway, you guys and gals can go to William's webpage click on Knight Rider then find Knight Rider:The Movie and click to read the article.
Got to go

YES! That sounds great! Keeps Hasselhoff involved, but keeps it believable too. Though, two successive police officers shot and resurrected to be FLAG operatives...maybe its not so believable!
But who cares! I can't wait for the movie!!

This information contradicts press releases and published news items we've read over the past year or two. I don't think you were looking at an official website. Could we please see the address so we can take a look? thanks.

Orlando Bloom was on the Graham Norton show the other week and laughed at David for asking him to play in it... Needless to say he turned it down straight away... he said hes a fan of KR but doesnt want to star in it.

Sounds like she may have seen a WIKI page of William Daniels and clicked on links from that page, and found a WIKI about the movie - with old news in it.
I don't think (or at least haven't seen) any "official" William Daniels web page.
In fact, following her instructions in the William Daniels WIKI, that is what it says when you end up on the KR Movie WIKI:

That is not William Daniels' page. That is just a page made by other people on WikiPedia. It might not even be accurate. The information is just old news that has since been proven false. In fact, they haven't really said that DH would even be in it. Instead, it was hinted that the movie will be a remake of the original pilot instead.
And to tell you the truth, I haven't heard a thing since about the movie and it's been how long now since Weinstein made the announcement? Almost a year now. Nothing more has been said that I know of. Nothing new at least.
