What? I meant the actors in KR08!
Michael: Kitt what matters to me is who you are not what you look like. Sure we don't have the car so we can't turbo boost so we can't go over 200 miles an hour but it was all icing on the cake anyway

Re: My 5 wishes to improve Knight Rider
I've actually liked much of the episodes so far. There have been a few cringeworthy moments (usually the same kind of stuff). Stuff I like:
- the Bourne Identity/Minority Report/24 type feel of the show, including Mike's past and whatever happened with Torres. It should be something that continues through the first season only.
- some of the feel of TOS is retained (albeit not much)
- some of the transformation (into attack mode) and the TB
- the "mission base" - KR is more high-tech, is after bigger enemies and needs a greater base of operations
- the surface-screen stuff like on the windscreen and shell
Things I don't like:
- transformation into truck etc. Maximum transformation I would have undergone would be changing the stripes/exhaust/colour. At the moment, transforming seems to involve creating mass from nowhere!
- Sarah Grainman - she can't act. That ep with the car racing and she drives Mike's old war buddy to find him and then starts to explain that he's not gonna believe his eyes - she looks like she's gonna fall asleep. She needs to be nerdified by at least 20%! And how many times did Bonnie drive KITT?
- Too much T&A. Sex sells, yes. But if they're going for the mature audience, do it properly. If it's for a mixed audience, this isn't the kinda stuff I'd have been watching as a kid. Tone it down.
- as others have said, the advertising. Look at TOS - how many times did you spot pontiac written over the car? There was no phoenix on the bonnet or elsewhere. The only place there was a pontiac logo was on the bowling ball hub caps.
- excessive CGI - I agree it's needed but to the extent I've seen on KR, it's ridiculous. As said previously, keep it to a minimum and when you use it, make it good!

Just for fun....
1. Put KITT-Cave in a bigger cargo plane (Sky One will be big enough).
2. One team in blue uniforms can make a difference.
3. KI3T should have a romantic affair with Domino.
Just to improve...
4. Forget the cobra logo... a FLAG logo will really improve KR.
5. Bring back the Arden Villa.

Re: My 5 wishes to improve Knight Rider
I see that, I apologize, I was half asleep at the point when I made that post. But perhaps they should be inexperienced due to the ages of the characters and the lack of experience they have, specifically Sarah and Mike who I think are still supposed to be 26 or so where as Michael Long I think was 33 and at the point where he "died" and Michael Knight was born, had a decade's worth experience from being a cop as well as several years as an intelligence officer. Or are you talking about the actors themselves? It's not as if Patricia McPherson or Hasselhoff had a long resume either when they started. Hasselhoff was only around two years older than Bruening at the point when the original series premiered and Patrica McPhearson was younger than Deanna Russo. Michael Knight was already basically established and there was very little character growth from the first season to the last, even with bad things that happened, they'd be largely forgotten in the next episode aside from a few rare times.Knight-Armen wrote:What? They're not starting the characters off as being nearly perfect like they did 26 years ago with personalities firmly established, they are likely going to grow and evolve, something none of the character in the original series actually did aside from KITT and maybe Bonnie though it wasn't all that much. Now, if by say, half way through the second season (if it gets that far) the characters are no different than they were when the series premiered then there's a problem.
The new and again improved evil's advertisement is currently too long and too badass to display here. But let's just say that with now 50% more evil, this **** is great!

No probs! Sometimes when we get tired we tend to leave out important bits of a message.I see that, I apologize, I was half asleep at the point when I made that post. Yes, I think they're unexperienced due to their age and overall experience as actors. I'm not sure if you've watched the documentary about Hasselhoff on E! called THS? Very interesting actually because Simon Cowell is in that interview and he claims that Hasselhoff is quite exclusive in the sense that he's good looking, charming, tall and outstanding amongst other actors in showbiz. He's very down to earth and people like him in general. Now, Hasselhoff's acting career goes back to around 1975 whereas Justin, only 2004. Justin is both younger and less experienced compared to Hasselhoff at the time he auditioned for the role as Michael Knight.
Also, some actors have the ability to glow on a set and so far I can't see that amongst Justin, Sarah and their crew. I know they're working hard to put every piece together but for the time being I think they've asked for a little more than they can handle. You say that Justin is 26 compared to Hasselhoff who was 33 years old at the time he did the pilot and that's quite of a age difference right there. You can't just take a couple driving lessons and become a very good actor, there's a lot more to it than just that.
I agree with the fact that they need to mature and evolve as actors but that's something they should have done prior to the making of Knight Rider. The film team needs people with more experience, that's my point...
