Re: Locations ?
To quote Gallaxy Quest. “At least (s)he is getting out of the house.”
To answer your question Joe, it does appear that that whole street was demolished sometime around the year 2000 to make room for the new Universal Metro stop and its parking lot.
Here is Bluffside Dr. today with no houses on it. Here is SHADO standing in for KITT on Bluffside Dr, beyond the wall is the new metro station.

Here is the same angle, but now I'm standing in the metro station parking lot.
And here is looking left and right in the parking lot where your street might have once stood.

Re: Locations ?
I went back to travel town and enlisted the help of their president in finding our missing trains.
Here is a better angle of the first train. This is what the train we saw David coming out of looks like today. Here is the spot where KITT was parked...

…But this was the train that KITT was parked behind.
And that other cute little train… It was Hawaiian and has gone back to Hawaii.

Re: Locations ?
Sue - thanks for the great shots! Also, thanks for confirming what I suspected regarding the Bluffside apartment building - it does appear to be gone. Without you heading out to check on these things, identifying these locations would be a lot harder! That goes for you too, one_man.

Here is an interesting old article on the construction of that metro station.
I have also traveled Back to the Future to show you what it will look like a few years from now.

Here's yet another one...Fong's China Trader Restaurant from "Knight of the Drones". Then:
and Now:
New Tech Entertainment
675 Jackson St.
San Francisco, CA
The alley to the far left, between New Tech and the red building, is the alley KITT drives down to save Michael from Fong's goons.

Re: Locations ?
Nice one Joe!
Here’s one from Knight and Knerd. Knight 3:17. If someone can post up some screen grabs from the chase at around 27:57 I’ll go back and see if I can copy them. There is a good turbo boost in there.
Here is what I got so far.
From KR And today. Not much has changed. Oh! and that man walking his dog, he tells me his wife worked on KR. Small world!

Re: Locations ?
Here's one of the few times that a location given in the episode is the actual location...in "Knight of the Drones", Devon tells Michael that Margo will meet him in the Twin Peaks area....cut to KITT driving on this road:
...which is actually Twin Peaks Blvd in San Francisco! Here it is today:
I believe KITT's destruction scene was filmed at the top of this blvd.

The turbo boost occurs at the intersection of Blix St and Vineland Ave:
KITT's tire is blown out at the intersection of Hortense and Vineland. You can also see Sarah St. in the background:
Have at it!!!

Re: Locations ?
This KR-geography thing is getting interesting. With the help of Joe, Sue,
and others on this thread, we could finally decode most filming locations in KR.
Today I want to take you to a rural location:
Latitude: 34°25'42.25"N, Longitude: 117°49'6.62"W
(Big Pines Highway, Valyermo, CA 93563)
see also:
http://www.lateralg.org/roads/orange/foot4.htm
This location first appeared in "Not a Drop to Drink",
when Michael drove the ranch owners on the way
to a dam. This 360 degree turn also appeared in many
episodes from different perspectives.
Here is the same view using Google Earth (how I found it!) Here is a photo when I stopped by this location, notice the cues
in red circles (pine).

Re: Locations ?
This one will be a test of everyone's skills...
I have two KR locations on the top of my wish list to find...interestingly enough, they all have one thing in common - Ann Turkel!
#2 on my wish list is Adrienne's mansion from "Soul Survivor"...but # 1 is Adrienne's mansion from "Goliath Returns". This mansion was also seen as "The Retreat" in "Knight in Retreat" - which also guest starred Ann Turkel!
Some possible clues from "Knight in Retreat" -
The hang gliding scene takes place at the intersection of Encinal Cyn Rd and Molholland Hwy in LA:
Lat: 34° 5'40.76"N
Long: 118°49'40.32"W
I believe that the mansion is located in this general area. The big give-away that we've got the right mansion is the maze of white fences that weave through the property:
Anyone want to give it a go?
Joe

Re: Locations ?
It's taken me hours, but I believe I've found Garthe and Adrianne's ranch, and Bianca's retreat!
Check out the pictures at the link below:
http://www.herecomestheguide.com/locati ... rock-ranch
Also check out their 360 Virtual Tour!
It's located on Mulholland Highway, which puts it in the vicinity of where Michael's parasailing scenes were shot for "Knight In Retreat". The website also states that it's a popular filming location.

Re: Locations ?
I started out by checking Google Maps and MSN Maps from the point where Mulholland Highway meets Encinal Canyon Road. The sign in your picture shows that K.I.T.T. was on the Mulholland Highway, so it seemed more logical that "The Retreat" would be on that road than Encinal Canyon (at least I hoped so). I saw a couple of areas that looked like contenders with the white fencing, but nothing looked identical to what we see in the show. So, I started running searches for ranches along the Mulholland Highway. There were quite a few, and almost all of them stated that they were filming locations (The Paramount Ranch, the King Gillette Ranch, etc.). Eventually I found the pages for Saddlerock Ranch, and positively identified it when I saw the house. In one of the 360-degree Virtual Tour shots, you can see an old horse-cart that looks like the one in your screenshot for "Goliath Returns".

Re: Locations ?
That Google-Earth view is kind of close to what Michael saw when he was parasailing!
I wonder if the Saddlerock Ranch owners kept the dungeon...?
The location where K.I.T.T. and Goliath went head-on is also likely to be somewhere along Mulholland Highway, so I'm looking for that now (it was also the same location and stretch of road that Michael helped Fran rescue a sick calf in "Junk Yard Dog").

Here is Marta Simmons' brownstone from Knight of the Juggernaut. Even though a lot of the episode was filmed on location in Chicago, this location is actually in Hollywood!

Re: Locations ?
The first two pictures are the Beverly Garland Holiday Inn, located at 4222 Vineland Avenue, North Hollywood. You may recognise it as the location used in "Speed Demons", where Roger Floyd talks to K.I.T.T., and more memorably, Devon reveals his motorcycle skills!
The third picture is an aerial view of the hotel complex from Google Maps; the text I added hasn't come out very well, but another episode was also filmed there: Custom K.I.T.T.! That episode used one of the side blocks, and almost the entire parking lot (round the back) when K.I.T.T. teaches the wannabe thieves a lesson they'll never forget. (Look closely during that sequence and you can see the nearby Universal Black Tower again!)
