Not nearly as dramatic a shot, but this shows the turn signal blackouts on the front of the nose. They were hard to do and messed with the geometry a bit. Close enough for now. G'night

I think most people who model kitt miss this but isn't kitt supposed to have a line in the middle of his door?

Does in this pic (had to decrease resolution so photobucket would accept it.

Doesn't feel like it's as brilliant as yours is gonna turn out but this is the best I'm gonna be able to do for now. Coursework, exams and attachments means I can't do any more until around April/May.

Not a big update, but this shows the door seams and the little bit below the door. I think I'll work on the handle and lock next.

Again with a not so exciting update. I've done the hole in the door for the handle, the lock and I've refined the frame. Before it was a little too beefy in the windshield and T-top areas. Now it's a wee bit better. Baby steps. Good night :)

Thanks for all the comments guys. It seems like I'm slowing down a bit, but I'll try hard to have something cool to look at tonight. I realize I haven't shown the back bumper yet. Maybe I'll show a render of that. Thanks again :)

Nothing spectacular ... seems like a step backwards even. But it's not. G'night.

'nother quick update. I added the side panelling, revized the bumper a bit, threw on the mirror kibble and tweeked here and there. I know I keep saying this, but it's finally starting to look like KITT :)

wannabegeorge, dude, seeing as your car is probably gonna be one of the best, if not the best model of KITT out there, would you ever consider doing a setp-by-step walkthrough guide of making KITT for those of us (like me) who have major problems with trying to make our own?

Would be nice to have a step-by-step guide. And it'd help me learn how to work that darn meshsmooth filter.

BTW are you using planes or patches to make your model?

Posted: Tue Feb 14, 2006 11:54 am
by wannabegeorge
I started with a single plane ... so planes, right? I have no idea and am kind of a novice at this. I just did what I did based on another great tutorial. Check it out: http://67.15.36.49/team/Tutorials/fiat500/fiat500.asp
