Other than KITT'S new voice, i like everythign about it. The laser's kinda tough to use since now the car is VERY responsive, as opposed to the elst game, lol.

I actually haven't been able to beat teh helicopter, both timews I tried it I ran out of ammo-or energy, or whatever...

I got KR 1 for like $2 at a local gamestop and am thinking about trying to get my dead laptop running so I can play it, but is this one gonna be worth purchasing if a US PS2 release doesn't happen?
I paid $30.00 on the Net from EB games. Did I over Pay? :?:

Loved the demo! It was SO much better than the last game.

However, I agree that since the car is much more responsive, especially at low speeds, it's harder to turn just a little left or a little right to aim the laser properly.

SPOILER

BTW how did you get past the 2nd laser thingy? The first one was easy - just ski mode through it. But the second one was tougher. I got the inkling that I was supposed to turbo boost through it but couldn't do it so I just drove through it twice.

The camera angling on the chopper mission was a bit hard since although it kept the chopper in view so you wouldn't lose it, it was harder to see where the recharger thing was.

PS How comes KITT is faster in ski mode than on 4 wheels (125mph ski cf 116MPH normal)?

What I want to know is if there is a targeting system you get later in the game.Look at the intro you will see the laser bends to a target lock.Bonnie upgrades the laser with target locking systems?

Also They left something important out of the dash. The energy bar.We dont know if kitt will run out of it until we switch views.

The voices used in this version are, to be brutally honest, crăp!

 Why do they pronounce "semi" as "semmi" instead of "sem-eye" ?

 Why the hell have they given KITT a British sounding accent?

Also, I can't help noticing that Michael's voice seems to have been provided by
the same voice actor that narrated those KR "Listen and Read" audio books.

This was one of them . . .

I think they may have mistook William Daniels' New York City accent as a British accent. :) Since the game was created outside the USA, it could be rather difficult to figure out what accents come from what areas of the world sometimes (expecially the different dialects of English). I guess they thought of him as sort of a spinoff from Devon or something. In fact, at first even *I* thought KITT's accent was British until I listened to it for awhile. :)

If they went with a NYC accent (but not too prominant of one - more like a slight one) then it probably would have been more close.

New York accent? I thought KITT's voice in the original series had a Boston accent . . . ?

All i Know is it sounds way too much like either Dante from TKR or Mobius. Not sure which more.

I don't know if this will work but does anyone think they will replace the sounds from bad kitt voice with kr wavs they can personaly make from the dvd season1 or somewhere else?I wanna give it a shot.In the old game I figured.Rewrite the text displayed to match the sound wave and you have a new game script.I also rewrote the exit game dialogue to would Wilton Knight Quit?Which would get you back into the game lickedy split.

Only problem is that there is a limit to how much you can type for a line.

I got mine last summer. The copy had been sitting on the shelves since it's relese. It was in the bargin bin and was literally $2.00. I already had my Mac at the time, but I figure for that price I couldn't pass it up.

I guess the price depnds on how much you want it (and if you can actually play it or not). To me I'd pay the full $50 new game price if this thing came out in the US on PS2 or Mac (take note Davelix). But if it's just a "for the heck of it" kinda purchase, it's worth about 2 bucks to me.
