You are awsome Sue! Thanx everybody for the coverage of this event, it's great for those that couldn't be there to see the videos and photos. I wish there could be something like this in Texas... I might have to make a trip to Vegas in March! 8)

Great videos! It was a was interesting hearing the comments on the new show, took a lot of guts to ask about it I'm sure ;) and yeah hopefully they get it right this time, I know I hope they also don't use the version of the theme used in the pilot, it started out fine but then just went down the tubes. If it makes it to a full season it'll be interesting to see how everyone feels about it at the Knight Rider Festival next year.

 When Glen was talking about the previous failures I don't think I could stop myself in blurting out "Knight Rider 2000". I actually re-watched it a few days ago, aside from holding up horribly from the "futuristic" standpoint, it's still awful.
The new and again improved evil's advertisement is currently too long and too badass to display here. But let's just say that with now 50% more evil, this **** is great! :skar:

Glen didnt get the chance to go into his TKR speil ;). He transitioned into a Battlestar Galactica one instead. But all those honest feelings about how his work has been treated, re-introduced, etc. is all covered exclusively in the foreword for The Knight Rider Companion.

There were some KRO members who I met at the event who were some of the nicest people. Sadly they were hard of hearing. They were very interested to hear what Glen and the others had to say. I’d really appreciate it for their sakes if someone could loosely transcribe my videos for them. I don’t want to fill up the forum with it, so perhaps a link to the document could be arranged.

Nick;

I appreciate your making it possible for us who are Glen Larson fans to show our support for him
and his Knight Rider developments.
Also the proof book I was fortunate enough to see is Fantastic so when it is published I will be buying it
so that when I see you in Vegas, you could autograph my copy.
But didnt Glen say something about TKR failing miserably? or some such thing?
The Knight Rider Companion will be a must have for Knight Rider fans. :dash: :dash4: :kitt2: :kittspin: :spmgo: :kittconv2:

Thanks for the appreciation Dave, you and I know first hand how chaotic it was to get everything to turn out great in the end. I want people to understand I didn't go to Saugus to peddle the book or show off how great of an artist I am. I went to Saugus to meet fans and show my support for Knights of the West Coast and to bring along Glen, Stu, and Michael to I guess reward the fans in attendence for their efforts towards keep the spirit of Knight Rider alive.

This wasn't about status or bragging rights, it was about fellowship and a mutual appreciation for what these key players did to create (in their own ways) a show that has touched our lives in our own unique ways. I look forward to being in Vegas and once again seeing the smiles and eager grins of fans lining up to snap a photo with the celebs they admire or a children's faces light up when they see a KITT replica or a finished/running dash dazzle them with inspiration and admiration.

That's what Knight Rider means to me, the "wow" factor. The sheer experience of being able to get closer to the stars you reach for or getting closer to the show itself through replicas or the cast and crew. To really connect to the spirit of Knight Rider firsthand. For me that's like going to Disneyland as a child.

Lights, excitement, character greetings, just wonderous feelings of joy where for that limited amount of time you're there you forget about your worries and your strife and just focus on the bare necessities of life.

Anyway I could go on that forever so I'll simply say what I've said in the video.

Star Wars might be forever, but for us The Knight Rides On.

Next stop...Vegas.

Lastly, I'd like to give some special praise to Steve Fawcett, Rob O, and the people organizing Knightcon 08 out in the UK. I wish you all the best of luck with your event and I'm sending a few special things your way to make your gathering just a little bit more special. Unfortunately I cannot be out there this year but I will be following your coverage when you go LIVE! out there in Halifax!

Ride On and Make a International Difference my friends!

Now I have a poster or two I need to get back to work on ;)

Finally, I've been able to activate my account here and start posting. The Saugus event was spectacular. I want to thank Victor Kros, CalJediKnight and Dave Doggett for their roles in making this show the success it was. And thanks for the '1st prize' award, which I wasn't at all expecting. Being somewhat inspired by that, I spontaneously showed up at a local car show today and took home 4th place, hehe. It was also great to hang out with some of you people after the show and just chill out for a while (not that I had any energy left to do otherwise). Sue, the videos rock and I'm glad someone was there to cover the event cuz I hastily ran out of my house cameraless. I can't wait for the Las Vegas festival and I hope my car will be a little more... talkative by then.

Nancy Degan was also at the event covering it for DavidHasselhoff.com She was able to get a very good interview with Chris one of the replica owners I had missed. Check it out!

She also snagged an interview with some guy named Mike Pajaro

In all the hectic stuff happening with the Saugus event ,

I have, not on purpose, forgotten about 2 important people whom also assisted us in making the event a hit!!

Don Colie for making a donation to the event and Make A Wish and Billy Gunter for donating an overhead console which was awesome!!!

So many people really stepped up to the plate and did such a fine job... Thank You all!!!

Looking forward to the Vegas show and beyond!!!

Dan

and many Knight Rider fans.

I wonder if we can get residuals if the make it into a commercial? (lol)
All the best,

Dave, I think this is the URL you are looking for:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9irE4OXxji8

And to be fair - this was the Navtones people at Saugus - they had the license to William Daniel's and worked in conjunction with Mio to bring this device to market.

Here is also a commercial they will be airing in markets in the US:

Still looks like it was a great event - and from only seeing things remotely, it looks like you guys did a great job.

Thanks Neil thats it alright, and of course William Daniels had that agreement with Mio and Navtones
however from the look on Glen's face was priceless- he really seemed to like that GPS gizmo.
I appreciate your support of our show & hope we will meet you in person this march in Las Vegas.

Hey guys and gals,

I also wanted to mention that Mark Puette did a great job of facilitating the "KNIGHT" plates for me.

As everyone knows he is the guy to go for authentic plates!!!

Thank Mark.

Dan;

As you know Michael Scheffe, Glen Larson were very impressed the night you presented them.
Don Peake was just as pleased & from what he told me the plaque you had me present for you will be in the foyer of his recording studio.
Those plaques were fantastic.
Dan you are a class act putting all those together & Mark Puette does great work also.

Dan & Dave,

Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad everyone liked the license plates. I wish I had been able to be there. I'd love to see a close-up picture of one of the plaques presented to the VIP's.
