GST said that the spoiler in the back will raise and lower as the car reaches different speeds, and turn 90 degrees to help KITT break. So it's got a purpose!

Here's another picture from Neil showing off a lot of the more intricate details, such as the triangular turn signals.

One thing I noticed is that they tried to add straight lines to the Mustang's design. Notice how the profile gained sharp edges -- and also the triangular turn signal someone mentioned earlier.
I think this is an attempt to bring the Mustang closer to the Trans Am. They want to please the old fans. I do admit, though, that they also jazzed it up w/ some Fast and the Furious motifs for the new kids.

Very disappointing!

We have a dragster type car for "attack" KITT. That only makes sense for acceleration.
I actually like the looks slightly better than the "attack" KITT from the pilot. I like that the huge rear spoiler is, at least, functional.

I think the thing that kills it for me is that the car looks too fake now.

well, loose the pipes on the hood and lower the rear wing significantly and the car is actually very nice... but those two details really ruin it for me!!!
oh, and without the CGI the interior is really unspectacular

The worst part about the car is now the interior. I actually liked the old voice modulator that looked like an iphone, now this interior looks like garbage. I hope what we see is not the final one, or maybe he can transform into many different dashboards... even the steering wheel was changed.... why?

Anyone visit the NBC KITT interactive tour?
http://www.nbc.com/Knight_Rider/KITT/
Why is Val Kilmer's voice not used? Kilmer is still doing the voice right? Can someone clarify, Thanks!

The rims are UGLY. They should have kept the black ones or anything would be better then those.

I... Don't...... Know..... What to say..... Did they do anything with the dash aside from the snow globe? I was hoping that with anything, at least this version would have something, but nope. I could deal with the exterior though the chrome/metal/silver/whatever, blows on the wheels and hood intake, hell I'd taken it black with some lights over the chrome and so does the racing tires... Attack KITT's weakness? Winding roads and cornering!
As for the reason for the blatant product placement that is the Cobra, we all know why it's there so any reasoning its integration it isn't going to help.... Though at least on the bright side, at least it Knight Industries logo does still exist. If they wouldn't add the regular Knight logo, would a Knight piece from chess hurt any?

surely they could implement a revolving dash so it appears normal when need be, depending on the passenger inside and can then be made to reveal it self when needed.

Im sorry but im just gonna say what everybody is thinking, that thing absolutely sucks! Words cant describe how cheesy that thing looks! They had it right the first time with the one from the pilot! You guys have to admit in a comparison the first attack mode was far better than this monstrosity we got. It might just ruin the whole show for me because it will make me sick every time it appears! I really enjoyed the pilot & was very excited about the series but now im just disappointed & whoever decided to green light that junked up attack mode version should be fired!

If I knew someone was going to beat my edited my post I would've just made a new one.
They could but if the car is already transformed in the Attack Mode, that doesn't seem like it'd have a point.Though, I guess we'll see..
EDIT: Yeah Garthe, it is rather crappy still... Another "great" design by Harry Belker! >_<
How does that guy get work? Is there just no one else so he gets hired by default?

That interactive tour thing is from early Febuary/January which is why. It's one of the place holder voices they used into the promos.

okay, this is just a quick and dirty photoshop edit, i just wanted to point out what a HUGE difference it would make to
-get rid of the ugly tubes on the hood
-use front and rear rims of the same size
-loose the oversized spoiler (a small spoiler would work, just had no time to look for one fitting)

And you just improved on a design that probably took Harald Belker weeks to come up with, sad isn't it? Have you tried making the rims black to see what it looks like?
If I was there I'd have pulled out the torch and pitchfork after a few seconds when "WTF" feeling wore off.....

i think that edited picture, instead of proving those changes made it better, (which they did) they instead highlight no need for an Attack KI3T at all.

True, very true... But they had to have it with the "morphing" or transforming as it is now. Paramount is gonna sue somebody!

I doubt that, i'm sure NBC had the team of lawyers look into it. The fact that it is a vehicle that change into multiple vehicles is sufficiently different enough than robots that change transform to 'blend in' unseen. With M.A.S.K, Power rangers and the like it's a similar idea done many times before
The nano technology was probably reason enough to stop it being a problem
