Very interesting point of view! I have never thought of in that way. Maybe you're right! I mean, falling of a cliff! It must have hurt. I totally agree with you and if you have seen the episode with Goliath, in the beginning Kitt and Michael are in the desert and Kitt is in a very bad condition. His voice is very similar to Karr's after being rammed by Goliath of a cliff. Don't you think?

Yes indeed, KITT's voice was different also in Junk Yard Dog (in the tv set) and Knight of the Drones.

He was in the TV set in Soul Survivor, actually.

I don't think that K.A.R.R.'s voice changed, and that it only sounded sorta different...and I'm pretty sure that the same guy, Peter Cullen, voiced him both times. In fact, I'm sure of it, here's the Internet Movie Database profile on Peter Cullen, and if you scroll down to the bottom, it says that he voiced K.A.R.R. in both TDR
AND KVK. Also, if you look up K.A.R.R. anywhere, and it tells you who voiced him, they only give one person; Peter Cullen. I never even thought that anyone would think they are different people because it never struck me as different voices. It was Pete Cullen BOTH times.

True but KITT was again in that portable "tv set" (or what it's called) in Junk Yard Dog and Knight of the Juggernaut too.
Can't remember right now if he was in it in the Knight of the Drones. I only remember he's voice was different when he talked to Bonnie next to the semitrailer after he got the missile in his tailpipe. KITT's voice sounded like in the pilot episode, robotic. Maybe his voice electronics/software reverted back to those "default values" he got in the beginning

But K.A.R.R.'s voice was supplied from the same guy both times.

KOPP - No, Paul Frees was the voice of KARR in KITT vs. KARR (although uncredited, as William Daniels was never credited as the voice of KITT). It was not Peter Cullen. Peter Cullen only did Trust Doesn't Rust.
Others have found that on imdb, there's been known errors on the site about other Knight Rider related things. However
TVTome.com correctly mentioned his uncredited role as KARR in KITT vs. KARR.
The best source is the Knight Rider Archive (
http://www.knightriderarchive.com) and the wiki here at Knight Rider Online.
KARR did in fact have two different voices.

^^Really? I could have sworn there were other KR sites that listed Pete Cullen as the voice of K.A.R.R. in both eps...well, you learn something new everyday!!

Personally I like season II much better. Of course I still do like most of season I, but I feel season II has much more action, grittier storylines, and less "cute kid-with a hot sister/mother" type cheesiness. Although Michael still has his girl of the week.

And April's in Season 2!!!

unforuntately with Michael its expected that he always has his girl of the week, heh. i mean, its MICHAEL. I like what KITT says about all that: "Why must you talk to so many women, Michael?" sometimes what KITT says can just make you chuckle.
well, when the dvds finally arrive, well see if you're right about there being more action and better story lines, LadyV2000
And might i ask...who is april? i dont think ive ever heard of that character. is she one of michaels g/f's or something?

I agree that April dosen't look like a real mechanic, but I like her better than Bonnie. Bonnie has that mechanic look and April not, however I think April is more hot!!!

^^Well, DUH April was pretty!! She was sweeter then Bonnie, too, who was a pain in the a$$. April was strong, but was still sweet and kind. You can be a strong woman and still be nice like April, which is something Bonnie never really seemed to be able to understand. I hated Bonnie. I don't care if she was pretty, she was a pill.

Well... I agree with you, however your "DUH" is not so obvious for everybody, don't you think?

I don't think Bonnie was all that bad. I liked her. She was more protective of KITT though, I think, to the point of blaming Michael for everything that happened to KITT. April was more lienient, I think, realizing that the both of them (Michael and KITT both) each lent to the situations, since KITT would gladly put his own existance on the line to save another.
If you want bad, you should hear me when I'm working on my car.

Ok, ok, I'm not quite THAT bad. But I been known to turn the air blue if a bolt won't come out or something.

I hated that sour-puss meanie commonly known as Bonnie. She was dumb. Yes, April was more lenient, like you said, and realized that both Michael AND KITT were responsible for things that happened BECAUSE APRIL WAS SMARTER. She could think logically. Bonnie was just so consumed with her idiocrity and sourness that she couldn't think straight.

Being a woman I can't judge on the 'pretty' factor (Michael is much better looking than either one of them, in my book.) but my vote goes to...
Bonnie. She never threw her hands up squealing about how impossible Michael Knight was like April did in "Ring of Fire." And she never handed her work off to anyone else like April did in "Soul Survivor".
Not that I hate April. She was a sweet character....might have been neat to have them both working together.

Now that would have been a cool idea!

I liked them both and was sorry to see Bonnie gone in the 2nd season but glad she was back in the 3rd. But by then I already missed April.
They should have kept April on as Devon's assistant, since she sometimes worked as such anyway, and maybe looking things up on the computer where Bonnie would remain KITT's technician/mechanic. And if things REALLY got bad, both Bonnie and April would work on KITT. That would have been neat.
