I am completely useless when it comes to making or modifying things

I just want an out of the box model that is close to perfect as can be.

if you want to bling it up, that's fine though LOL

That's the point. Easy to cut a wire to make the pedal 'dead', but very difficult to make it light up. Agrument would be moot if Tuske goes with making it a later car.

Do you know if the side panels in the hatch were carpeted in the show car, by the way? I'll be adding carpet, but I don't know if those trim panels had carpet or not. Some T/As have it, others are just plastic.

And did KITT have the black hatch cover?

Part of the difficulty in making an accurate replica is the fact that the details in KITT changed throughout the seasons, and within the episodes. Part of this had to be supply (of vehicles form POntiac/ available for use during the day of filming), and the rest from recycling footage from previous episodes into new episodes. They were recycling footage during season one! Looking through the DVD's some episodes had a hatch cover, and some didn't. This version will need it to provide room for a speaker box. Otherwise there isn't enough space to make a quality speaker box.
