anyone remember KITT vs KARR, when Michael asks around if anybody has seen 'a car like this' just before he enters Mandy's store?
there were a lot of girls in bikinis on rollerblades... or take a look at what April was wearing every now and then... let's face it: this so called semi-nudity has been part of Knight Rider all along and if you want to hate the new series for it you should propably hate the original series as well.

I see your point but there is a difference! Those girls weren't meant to be in the picture, they just got there since the camera man was filming in a town close to the beach. It doesn't surprise me to see them like that when the weather is stoving hot, right?
I don't know about you but I haven't seen April in a bikini during any episode of season 2?
Besides, I haven't said that I "hate" the show because of that...

Weren't meant to be in the picture? You do realize that can't just shoot random people without permission right? Do you think they allow pedestrians to walk around while they're filming??

I'm aware that you need permission to shoot or photograph people in general but if they're filming on a crowdy location such as a town or a beach they can't have everyone in their credits just because they walk past that scene.

so you want to say that the girls michael apporaches and asks about KARR are not extras but just some pedestrians (who by coincident happen to be beautiful girls in bikinis on rollerblades)???
this is absurd!

I think you miss the point here. It's not about the credits.
It is not possible to "just walk by" because the whole area is restricted during filming and only people who get a contract as an extra (hope this is the right word here) are allowed to walk on the set.
So everything that is happening on camera is planned.

No, I'm not! I'm talking about people way out of focus but still in the picture.

Yeah, but that's only true for some special areas, right?
I mean, surely they don't have the rights to close off whatever area they want?

Knight-Armen, just turn off your TV and don't watch. This way you don't have to suffer through "nudity", and we don't have to hear you complain about it.

Knight-Armen wrote:Whether the quote is old or not is one thing but the article is clearly telling us that KR08 is hitting the gutter.
In Hasselhoff's own words: "I went in and pitched Knight Rider to the network with all the intentions of coming back as, like, the dad or something," David Hasselhoff told Showbiz Spy. "But they decided to go a different route. So I just said 'See ya later and good luck."
I'm pretty sure the quote is from an earlier interview but when Gary Scott Thompson told us that Hasselhoff was going to be submerged into the show at some point I think we all took it for granted that this was certainly to be the case. In the article (above); however, he claims to have discussed with him just briefly! Besides how are they going to reinstate Ki2t again? They made 18 different cars in total to perform the stunts they did in the 80's TV show. Many of them do not even exist as far as I know and the tour car seem to belong to George Barris, surely they can't use that? They haven't even consulted with William Daniels yet and dudging from how things are going I'm not sure if they will manage to get him do Kitt's voice again on such short notice.
Also, one last thing about the show that I just have to bring up: the nudity! Doesn't it bother you guys that they include semi naked girls in every single episode (including the pilot)? I haven't yet been able to watch Knight of the Iguana but so far I've seen nothing but nudity apart from occasional action and Sarah seems to be one step from undressing completely! " - Oh, fast cars make me hot!"
Sorry if I led this a little off topic. Sorry about that.
Umm...In the pilot movie he was introduced as Michael's dad so there is no other route to go to alredy...

You don't take comments and criticism very well, do you? Live with it or take a hike!

This is exactly the kind of disgraceful attitude that came with New Doctor Who. It's a case of,
"If you like the new show, then come on in and put your feet up, but if you don't like it, then your opinion doesn't matter and we don't want to hear it. There are no problems with the show, it's all you."

Knight Armen, I can't begin to tell you how many episodes in TOS had girls in bikinis or hot and tight aerobic spandex suits. There really was a lot of them. Everyone on this board is politely telling you that your view of the nudity on KR08 and comparing it to the original is more than unfair. I don't remember April wearing a bikini either, but I sure do remember her wearing some cute little outfits. Check out the episode wear KITT drives on water. What kind of smart and sophisticate lady would sport something so cute? Case in point: it's not that bad. And neither is Sarah and Zoe. I'm sorry that you never gone through puberty and think girls are gross, but come on man! Saved By the frickin' Bell had the entire teenage cast in their sexy bathing suits for all the kids to gawk at back in '92!
What's your problem? Accept my comments and criticism

Sure, a lot of girls in bikinis and a heck of a lot more action! But I guess you prefer a porn movie instead?
And I'm going to site here and listen to a dumb wit like you with only girls in bikinis on his mind. You're really freaky, dude! Have yourself checked by a doctor or something.
Now, did that comment piss you off? Well, take it, accept it!

Calm down you two or I'll have to break out the steel cage and if that happens it'll be steel (aka low grade aluminum) chair shots for everyone!
Though, I do hope we get little or no TnA in the next episode, it'd at least show they're not totally relying on it. Even though I don't mind at all seeing Deanna or Smith Cho in bikinis or lingerie, even I could use a break.

I actually think they’ve done a great job in keeping it a family show.
I was the one who was saying when they brought GST on board, let’s make some changes but keep in mind it’s a kids show and let’s not make it too dark. But watching the clip on the knight industries site has me thinking.. well you can make it a little darker.
As for skin.. it’s not necessarily the amount of skin we see but the context of the scene. Are women being objectified. I think the writers have been handling it quite well. Sure there’s the whole pool scene in Journey to the End of the Knight, but Sarah was there to give her little spiel about it.. even if Mike wasn’t well… listening. I think Sarah does a pretty good job standing up for woman’s rights. As for Zoe…. I’m just gonna roll my eyes here.

See, this is what I'm saying. I'm not saying that they should ban the girls completely but for the time being they should focus more on the story, cast and relationship between Mike and Kitt. Once they have that they can bring those girls every now and then, I wouldn't care, it wouldn't matter anyways but some occasional "eye candy" as someone said.
Also as Sue said, keep in mind that there are kids watching the show. They can have a minor difficulty in handling objectivity and subjectivity and thus getting the wrong picture with women.

Television is much more liberal about this now than it was in the 80s, the times have changed. If you can't deal with it, watch something else or watch your DVDs of the old show. I'm so sick of conservative people like you whining about this.

Funny I recall 80's shows such as Miami vice being very racy even by today's standards. And in the classic show Michael was often smacking lips with a hot chick only to be interrupted by KITT.

So yes people arguing about the show being kind of racy compared to what is outthere right now is rubbish...
