I really dislike the term KITT cave, they are just jokingly calling it that right? Or is it really what they are calling it in the show? I think KR has enough of its own history and lore to go on that it doesn’t need to steal from other franchises.
As for a modern audience needing the show to have a larger team… I don’t know, James Bond was a loner. And Iron Man was mostly a one man show, aside from some talking computers.
Come to think of it, we could have said of the original KR, “we live in a world of A-Team and Mission Impossible.”
Well, perhaps I will complexly change my mind once I get to see it at comic con.
