They probably wouldn't because then it would possibly detract from what Kilmer is doing with it.

What's happened to the DVD release? I thought it was supposed to be out on the 9th of this month? Nothing on Amazon.

It has been cancelled. I think they are going to put that 2 hour pilot in first season's DVD boxset, that's because they cancelled it. They don't want to release it seperately.
