It has always been a dream of mine to create a replica of K.I.T.T. and I am proud to say that I have begun the process of searching for just the right Trans Am. My Name is Scott, 42, South Texas and have Always loved the show (ahem, the CAR) Since the first airing in '82. I am a huge fan of the original series (Not so much of the hour long Ford commercial that came out in '09) even by todays standards, the 'Two Thousand still looks like something above and beyond the cookie cutter world of automotive design. My most recent acquisition, is the 1/15 Hitari Knight Rider Kitt that I will be working on and modding (LEDs, better Rx/Tx/ESC, Motor...etc) I would love to pic alcyon2sp's brain on his tail light mods.

Hi everybody on KRO! I'm 14 yrs old KR fan from Poland. I'm Knight Rider fan for about seven years. First episode I watched was Goliath. Every day I'm writing posts on polish KR site, called with prestige Knight Rider Poland (link on PM). My favourite movies are Smokey And The Bandit series. Hey everyone. My name is John and I just bought my first KITT replica. It is a complete conversion with the season 1/2 dash. Most of the electronics are "dummy" electronics. I really want to make him talk. I would appreciate any info on what computer to build/buy, flat screens for the dash, software, etc.

I also own a screen used General Lee from the dukes of Hazzard movie. So far the two are getting along fine but I still worry about how they will do in the garage when I am not looking!

[KITT Conversion]

Hello fellow Knight Rider Fans,

I am Paul (18 years old)
I was introduced to Knight Rider by my parents when I was about 11 or 12 years old, and got each season of Knight Rider each holiday (Ex: X-Mas, birthday) and after a while, I finally got all 4 seasons.
Later, I remembered the Knight Rider that was on T.V starring Justin Bruening, as Mike Traceur, and went on a hunt for that.
I searched for a few weeks, at Wal-Mart, and other similar places, and just had no luck.
But that changed, when after getting info from a friend, I found out it could be found at HMV in WEM (West Edmonton Mall) so I went there, and found the one season of that Knight Rider that was made.

I made my own site about Knight Rider (http://knightriderinfo.webs.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;), since I know almost everything about it, and joined this site around June 7/2011, after being told about the chat on here, and I've been a member since June 7/2011.

I plan to make my own KITT Conversion car, when I get enough money, and find the right car, as I am still currently looking for a 1985 or 1986 Trans Am, to use for the conversion.
If anyone on here lives in Canada, Alberta, and knows of anyone selling a 1985 or 1986 Pontiac Trans Am, please let me know via PM on here.

hi folks big fan ,need question anseard , in episode were kitt ,gets sprayed and loses his skin ,and gets allmost destroyed , when rebuild him did he get his skin protection back, buggng me as if not whats point thanks

I've always assumed they eventually were able to put the MBS back on KITT after the episode. The episode you are referring to is the 4th season premier, "Knight of the Juggernaut." There were episodes in season 4 where KITT crashes through walls and such and remains undamaged. The reason they weren't able to put it back on sooner is because they were on their own without the backing of FLAG. FLAG was under the command of the Devon impostor who would have most likely ordered that no help would be given to Michael or Bonnie. The other problem would have been that they were in Chicago and I'm pretty sure that the necessary chemicals and equipment to apply the MBS were kept at the FLAG HQ in California.

Whats up everybody. My name is Chuck, but everyone calls me Lurch.

Knight Rider is my all-time favorite show. Always has been, always will be. I bought all 4 seasons on DVD when they 1st came out. I used to have some VHS tapes of KR that I wore out b/c I watched them too much, LOL!

I recently bought a copy of Knight Rider 2: The Game for PC and I am looking forward to playing as K.I.T.T.!

I am also in the hunt for a clean & inexpensive 3rd-gen Firebird T/A that I can eventually convert to K.I.T.T. as well.

I just wanna say this site kicks ass, esp the opening page. Killer design!

You know, it's crazy - but K.I.T.T. still looks futuristic to this day, THIRTY YEARS after the show came out! Classic!!

Greeting fellow Knight Rider fans, new and old series alike.

Name's Mohd Shahreezal. People call me Reezal. I come from Malaysia. Dunno how many Malaysian KR fans here in the forum. I've been in love with the KR franchise since I got to know about it. Our TV broadcaster, RTM (Radio Television Malaysia) was responsible for bringing the shows such as KR, Airwolf, Street Hawk, Viper etc to our TV, and I congratulate them. If were not for them, I wouldn't have known about KR and KITT, and I dun think I would have registered in this forum. And our new satellite TV provider, ASTRO brought us the new KR2008 to Malaysia (although I've known about it even before the show aired here).

I have been reading the articles in this forum for a while, 2 years actually without giving a thought of joining. However, the more I read, the more I become interested to join the community. I read about replicas, about bloopers and other great stuff, and I felt that I wanted to take part as well. Just FYI, my country doesn't sell Ford cars as cheap as the ones in the States (for the Mustang, 'coz there are only 3 units of Mustangs in Malaysia, and those costs around MYR - Malaysian Ringgit - 500K++...) and we dun get to see Trans-am here either. So we, the KR fans here in Malaysia are a very disappointed that we couldn't get our hands on either of these cars... I used my own car, Malaysian made Proton, for my own version on KITT. I'll post it later on. It's very far from complete though, as there are many modifications that I have in mind for my KITT.

I think that's about it. Love Knight Rider! Especially KITT!
