I was thinking a few months ago what if they merged the dash from the pilot and merged it with the one from the series.It would make the car look far more technologically advanced.It would be a bit confusing to watch the lower screen console and the sphere in the center of the dash as 2 kitt mouths.Maybe you could switch one to deactivate and one to activate or just the screen on another mode or both at once.Another Idea I had was if the orb was yellow as karr's mouth and the lower screen the more advanced way of showing kitt talking would be the lower since he is a production line model in which they corrected and installed more advanced technology.Anyhow I'm glad someone else besides me had this great idea.

Well first off for everyone that owns a Knight Rider GPS and never got a chance to update it to the more accurate version a couple of months ago with my hack, you will get a chance to download that again soon.
Also I am working on getting wifi internet access to the KR GPS. You can now watch streaming youtube clips and check e-mail and even visit KRO on you Mio KR GPS. (I will post the software and hack on my site so as to keep any legal worries away from KRO.) I will not sell the software or hack, I am making this for free to the K.R.O. community.

All of this will culminate in a big event on ebay that you won't want to miss...stay tuned.

Maybe with a little extra money, I might consider Excahnging my current KARR Voice box for the KARR Version of your Orb. As long as the colors are yellow with the "black" or green background.

verry interesting i'm intersted for the orb , when will your realease it ? Does the center screen operate the sotck function like AC, radio , heated seat etc?

The center LCD screen is hooked up to the same carPC that the voice orb is.
The center LCD plays the REAL graphics from the original tv movie pilot KI3T! They play randomly and loop. The center display can also go online via wifi and and be used for surfing and acts as a functional GPS. Everything that can't be displayed through the screen will display on the center LCD.
The AC controls are relocated to the bottom right hand side of the driver, out of the way. The radio controls disappear altogether because the LCD plays satellite or internet radio, so there is no reason for a fm radio anymore. This also frees the room needed for the display electronics.

so you have to get get ride of the tcs and computer control knob? it would be nive to have this setup but smallet juste to fit in the stock radio area

Looks Great, getting ready to order my plates. I need my ORB..... hint hint taoworm.............. I started pulling the dash apart to install the underdashpad lights..... What fun..

Oh I haven't gotten to that part yet, but I'm not looking forward to it. Be sure to take lotsa pics for a possible writeup!

I talked to a I know at Ford and he sent me a exploded view of the dash. I wanted to take the top dash pad off so I could cut the hole for the lights. It looks like you would have to remove the whole dash because the bolts holding the top are put in from the back. I took out the pass. airbag and cluster panel cover and I can get to 4 of the bolts. I have to remove the center part of the dash to see if there are more. I have e-mailed Auto Indulgence a few times to get the correct location to cut the dash but havn't recieved the info. I have a Car Show next Sunday and I want to get this done for the show. I purchase the lights from Auto Indulgence. There is a guy here in ILL that is making the Hood Scanner lights and they look just like the real ones. I will try to take pictures of the dash work as I go. One thing I need help iwth is how do you resize a picture to make it your avatar.
