I'm currently working on the clip...I hope to have it up within the hour. Flash is giving me problems so I'm trying another format.

David Hasselhoff and his family have a lot of guts showing up at the finals of the most atrocious amateurish non-sining competition that's too popular for its own good.
I hope thy all are wearing ear plugs!

I got a clip online now:
http://www.davidhasselhoffonline.com/main.html
I had some tech problems with Flash so I had to make the capture as an AVI which came out smaller than the MPG I usually use. For some reason Flash isn't importing the MPGs tonight. LOL I have to use Flash to compress the video so I guess I'm stuck with that. I'm still trying to get it bigger.
Enjoy!

Thanks for posting your clips Mike! I didn't get a bigger MPG size of that clip compressed, so I have just the one small clip. I'll go ahead and link to your QuickTime clip since some fans can't open Flash.
It was great to see David and his family on the show.

I think he and his family were the highlights to an otherwise crappy night, and i'm glad he thanked the fan who auditioned for the show, as evidenced by Nat's video clip.

He brought a much-needed levity to a show that takes
itself too seriously, thank goodness, even if it was just for a few minutes, at least.....

That Idol-audition Hasselhoff fan MUST be a member of

Didn't the judges dis Hasselhoff's song and singing career the first time that kid auditioned or something? I wouldn't have gone on the show after that if it were me.

EDIT: Bleah. Misread Lost Knight's post. That's what happens when I post when I'm sick.
David was there?

I KNEW I should've paid more attention.

Yes, half of that equation is true---the part of D. Hasselhoff being able to sing, that is!
Well good for you! Enjoy yourself, ok?
I mean that in the best possible way! Really!

I don't have a fandom registry form from Dirk as far as I know PBH...He could have visited my site I guess. Maybe one day I will hear from him.
I too wish I could have been there...*Still patiently waiting for my turn*
Seriously though, I'm really happy for him because you could tell he is a true fan of David's so I think he really deserved to meet him at the show. His smile was a mile wide!

I don't like reality or talent shows much. I used to watch the "Apollo" one I think it was, a couple times. But if it were me that met David, I'd be like

Come to think of it, David appearing on the show is good publicity. Some 33 million people watch it or some ridiculous number like that (that says a lot about America), so that's 33 million people more likely to make the
Knight Rider movie a success.

I got the latest QuickTime and I couldn't open it. Said some codec was needed to display it and that it wasn't found on the server. All I could get was audio.
Is there another format you can use?

I know this isn't related to "AI", but after listening to a couple of CDs I'd gotten of D. Hasselhoff in the mail, all I have to say to DH himself is, "Damn, you fine, as a singer"!:)
I'd love for D. Hasselhoff to get to those starting out and recommend that they have vocal training on a regular basis to keep their vocal cords in shape.
OK, I'm a fan of DH's music myself, but don't expect me to try out for AI with one of his songs, though, mainly because I'm above that age limit.

"American Idol" almost made sense when D. Hasselhoff and his wife and kids were on the show, but from then on, it went downhill fast, as evidenced by a clip from the finale Nat provided.
No wonder I didn't watch the show.
Oh, well....

I guess those of us who have no lives watch American Idol.

I think its fun to watch. Some of the singers really do have talent and I like to hear some of the old songs...it was really a blast to have DH show up. I wonder if he watches the show. Probably not, probably working! Anyway...
