KR SKILLS
Did Knight Rider increase or improve your vocabulary? Did it also help your grammar? I mean, I was talking like KITT at one point. HELL! I've even talked like KARR.

I thought I was the only one going that insane over knight rider..I was saying exactly what Michael was saying on many occasions.I learned Moby Dick was written by Herman Mellville.I know what the word anithesis means from Goliath.I test my voice to see how simaler I can get it to sound like KARR sometimes.

Yeah, I recently am learning auto mechanics, and a LOT about car restoration. Something I've always wanted to do. Having a nice Pontiac 6000 and naming him Kitt helped a lot too. I think that's the biggest skill that was KR inspired that I've accquired since I had got back into it.
I'm also hoping to research and code some AI and speech recognition. If that works, and I get into retrofitting a computer in the car, I'll be learning more programming, learning C++, more about Linux (which I hope to run the computer with) and of course, electronics.
I guess I learned a lot being a KR fan.

let me see...how has Knight Rider ruined my brain...this may be a long list....
1)I've learned that the tuxedo hasn't changed in over 100 years of its existance
2)I've learned that when you hit a jump, you shout in excitement when you land
3)I've got my voice to sound like Kitt...and talk like him sometimes too (even though I'm a girl)
4)I've got my voice to sound like Karr from "Kitt vs Karr"...and talk like him sometimes too (even though I'm a girl)
5)I've learned to fear giant gray 18-wheelers

I remember not knowing the word "behemoth" from Goliath, as in "look at what that behemoth did to me...".
"Back in the old days..." I didn't have a VCR to record episodes, so I recorded them on to audio cassettes. I had to play that segment over and over to first figure out that KITT was saying the word "behemoth", then had to look it up.
And certainly many of us first heard of Zeno and his paradoxes from trust Doesn't Rust?

I just recently thought of more things that I learned from the show. Jeez.....here we go again....
- only sensible cars don't talk
- you can't tow anything w/o damaging your car's alpha circut
- towing another car is "something stupid"
- seeing mr. pheeny on Boy Meets World, and see KITT saying everything he is (this can get quite scary at some points)

I actually attempted a sorta turbo boost with my 1983 Chevy S-10 one time back when I first got it in 1986. I went down a steep slope in back of some stores kinda fast with my friend in the passenger seat and when we hit the bottom part, with the truck hitting the ground, it stalled out. I got it started but we kept stalling. Finally, I ended up stopped RIGHT in front of my house (actually on the street, and across from the house). Lucky I lived down the street from the stores with the slope. My dad wasn't too happy and went under the hood to find that the needle valve popped clean out of the carb. LOL!TurbomanKnight wrote:Imagine landing a Turbo Boost and having a wheel fly off. OUCH!
I wasn't thinking Knight Rider though. I was trying to show my friend how touch my pickup truck was. Guess it wasn't all that tough.
That's about as close to a turbo boost I've ever come.
