OK, hear me out...
Watched "The Nude Bomb", aka "The Return of Maxwell Smart" on HBO. This was a very bad movie from 1980 based on the old "Get Smart" TV series.
I mention it because it may be interesting to people who enjoy the history of Universal Studios. In the movie, they visit the theme park and get caught up in a chase throughout the backlot. You get a good look at the Jaws exhibit (which is still there today) and some great scenes from the Battlestar Galactica attraction (which is now gone.) I just thought it was interesting to see how Universal Studios looked right before Knight Rider came out.
There are some other coincidental ties to Knight Rider:
It co-stars Andrea Howard, who was in Killer K.I.T.T.
A car drives into a parked semi.
Some familiar sound effects, including one when a "turbo" button is pressed.
Don't get me wrong- it is a BAD movie. But it's a slice of the early 80's.
The Nude Bomb is available on HBO Go and Netflix DVD.

Speaking of Get Smart connections to Knight Rider :

Funny how he says copyright 1981.Would you believe that clip was from the remake tv series in the 90's starring Andy Dick as his son?
I loved the Get Smart tv series and the movies.Anything by Mel Brooks is a funny movie/tv show.Every few years I learn of another movie he made that I never knew about.
