Re: WTB Kenner Knight 2000 Voice Car MISB
If you are posting photos of the car, then it is not "Mint In Sealed Box."
I do have a Kenner car MISB. The original price sticker is still on it. It is not for sale. I also have a second Kenner car, out of box. With collectables, I like to have one to preserve and one to play with.

Re: WTB Kenner Knight 2000 Voice Car MISB
Thats just incredible! I think this is the first I've seen of that toy MISB... Too bad when we were kids we didn't think of buying two, one for open and another to keep misb...haha.. How did you get that or did you just happen to buy two of them back in 1983????
Its really sealed in there? Damn it must be in freakin' good condition!!! With a voice function that probably still work really well!!!! How I envy you there! Do you mind posting more photos of it? In higher resolution if possible.. Would really appreciate it...

Re: WTB Kenner Knight 2000 Voice Car MISB
On second thought I'm not sure I should call it "mint" condition. Although sealed, there is some damage to the box. My mother found it from a toy dealer I'm guessing 20-25 years ago. A dealer in New Jersey "knew a guy" in Chicago who had the car. I think it was $250. I'll get some better photos.

20 years ago mint and it was $250??? I wonder how much it would cost now mint.... Probably a lot more.Michael Pajaro wrote:On second thought I'm not sure I should call it "mint" condition. Although just the box, the car and the figure is still sealed in there! Its been 30 years, I doubt the box can be in excellent condition, there is bound to be some bent here and there around the corners or something. I can imagine it on the inside, no scratches on the car, clear windows etc etc... Hot damn!!!! Do post some better photos of it!
I wonder if a mint condition Diamond Select Toys 1/15 KITT would fetch a good sum of money 30 years from now...hmmm....

Re: WTB Kenner Knight 2000 Voice Car MISB
A couple more pix...
I don't think the Diamond Select release will increase as much in value as the Kenner car, simply because it's tough to beat an original. The DST car is probably superior to Kenner's car in every way, yet the Kenner car was there at the beginning. Also, part of the appeal of the Kenner car is that I don't think it was ever really thought of as a collectable. People bought it to play with it. The DST car presents itself as more of a collectable item already.
My advice: don't buy these toys for their potential future value. Just get them because they're cool and you like them NOW.

Re: WTB Kenner Knight 2000 Voice Car MISB
Something interesting I just looked up:
The Kenner car sold for $24.97 back in 1983. According to an online inflation calculator, the car would cost $57.56 today. The car from Diamond Select Toys is a higher quality and does more, and costs about $49. Well done DST!

Nice photos! You're the man! Aren't you curious as to how the car and figure is on the inside after all these years in that box???? HahahaMichael Pajaro wrote:Something interesting I just looked up:

Interesting fact there about the pricing of the DST car... But Kenner's KITT is bigger so I guess its fair that it cost that bit more than the DST KITT at $57.56..

Here's the commercial for the knight 2000 voice car.

Looks great to see it how it was meant to look back in the day.No blu windsheild or darker unpolished paint job.

Re: WTB Kenner Knight 2000 Voice Car MISB
Here is my Kenner Knight Rider. It was sealed until the tape became so old and yellow it came off and opened. So father time opened it...
I got it at a flea market in 1997 for $30... I talked him down from $40 knowing full well that it was worth at least $150.
My heart dropped when I saw it(I ran to it). I was always going to this flea market(biggest one in Michigan) looking for a Kenner Knight Rider since mine from childhood is trashed from leaving it out in the sand box(still have it). I always was hoping to find a loose one in any condition. To see one sealed was a moment for sure.

Cool photos, KnightGTP! But does anyone else think it's odd that Michael looks like a dead body stuffed in the car?
And Knight Racer/imranbecks... I don't remember ever seeing that commercial- thanks for sharing it. Though I think the kids were kind of lame with the stunts they were doing. Come on, this is KITT! They should be jumping it off the couch or over a dog or something!

Re: WTB Kenner Knight 2000 Voice Car MISB
Being an avid KR/Toy collector this post kinda worries me in the amount of money we are talking about. How can you say it is in perfect condition when the parts used are not really made to sustain almost 30 years of shelf life. It's almost a mystery box if it is sealed.
When collecting "toys" some have poor manufacturing processes which will fade plastic and yellow as well no matter how you store them. Also any paint applied can breakdown and crack. In any sense when talking these amounts you almost need a broker or someone to verify the item is what you truly want. I would insure the item immensely and DO NOT GIFT IT on paypal. Knowing you could find these for $300 on Ebay all day long w/ box. It wouldn't take much to forge a sealed box. Just be careful and I hope this maybe the first documented sealed box sale because I have never seen one in person but have seen over 73 Kenner KITTS .
Please let us know if you acquire one

I have a Knight Rider car 1982 in its original box, it has been opened, but never played with. It's in pretty good condition to be this age.
