Anyone ever hear of this movie called Knightriders?

I went to a videostore in the 90's and asked if he had the show on vhs either the pilot or the tv show episodes would do.I rented it and took it home.To my surprise i got something i had never seen before.I guess the big difference was the S at the end and the name being together.Oddly enough today I checked IMDB on it.It says it was made in 1981.Did Glen know about this when he made the show we all love till this day?
