My bad.
Odd indeed. I have very bleak memories of seeing this before.
I think this was just a quick conversion this guy put together on a budget. Let's face it. The average person can't tell the difference between this car and the real thing. I'm sure to 95-99% of the people he showed it to, it was the real thing.

Wow... I HATE BS like that, this auction needs to be reported for false advertising and the seller contacted and put in their place as to what a real replica looks like. The only remote excuse could be that this car was an early, early mock up but I even doubt that. I don't remember the 82' Trans-Am having a spoiler like that either...
The new and again improved evil's advertisement is currently too long and too badass to display here. But let's just say that with now 50% more evil, this **** is great!

OMG Weeezl!!!!
Who in their right mind would call this an exact museum quality replica???????????????!!!!!!!!!!
That little tv must have been from the 1950's. Lost in Space is right!
Did they actually spend ANY time watching KR or did they just got to a local landfill and pick around for supplies saying, "This'll work." *giggle*
Thanks for the good laugh Weeezl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That is a computer not a sofa.......Knight of the Drones
A firsthand viewer of Knight Rider '08!
And I LOVED it!

It's not an 82 at all. That car is 84 or above based on the ground effects, rear spoiler, and seats. It is completely false advertising. It always amazes me how many people list Trans Ams as 1982 just because they know they are more sought after.

That is definately not an 82, makes me sick they advertise it so falsely.
The accuracy of that replica ranks right up there with that god awful Super Pursuit replica "the one with spoiler stuck on the nose"
Alternative sure but to advertise it as a "PERFECT T.V. SHOW QUALITY KNIGHTRIDER KITT REPRODUCTION. THIS CAR HAS THE FULL INTERIOR REPRODUCED TO EXACTLY DUPLICATE THE T.V. CAR DOWN TO THE DASH AND STEERING WHEEL" Thats a just a bit wrong.
Some guy with more money than sense will probably buy that for the asking price too.

Wow, I just saw that auction today, and could not believe what I was seeing/reading. And, to top it off, if you look close at the hood, there is NO headlights (the two squares in the front of the hood where the headlight would pop up are not even there !). Plus, the car looks NOTHING like a good quality KR replica. Definitely NOT worth the BIN price at ALL.

The car IS an 82 by the VIN. It just has many later model donor parts added (87-90 rear spoiler, 85-86 Recaro seats with matching rear seats, seat belts, rear bumper & ground effects, 85-90 tail lights), plus a later year engine swap by the serpentine set-up and compressor and alternator switching sides.
Looks like a full scale replica of a cheap KITT model toy.

I’m a little suspicious about the claim of it having 0 miles. Unless it has a brand new engine, that’s almost impossible. It may have been a show car at a dealership, but even then I think they are driven a short distance at the factory to see if everything works. At least I think so. You guys can correct me if I'm wrong.
Personally, I wouldn’t mind buying the car--- but not at the price being asked. And If I did, which is doubtful, That Dash would be getting a major refit.

The car was made by Jay Ohrberg who help create the original SPM KITT
Car is near Chicago where I'm at now,So if it warms up (Its F!#&i% cold here
![Mad :x](./images/smilies/icon_mad.gif)
) in a few days,I might stop over just to check it out.
and "1982" is correct it is or "WAS" a 1982 trans am with later model parts added.
Defiantly a "Unique" version of KITT

Yeah, I was thinking about it and I'm pretty sure I have seen this car before. Might have been on his site or somewhere else...

Looks like they ended the auction. It says "The seller ended this listing early because of an error in the listing."
