William Daniels
Dont know if this has been asked before or not, just wondering if anyone has used any sound clips of W D from Boy Meets World or St Elsewhere in their Kitt replica`s, ive never watched the shows before but I was looking at clips on youtube and he doesnt sound any different in any of his characters, I thought that there could be some interesting sound bites.

Re: William Daniels
I've messed with some audio from other shows he was in and it just doesn't sound KITT like, I suppose you could run it through a filter to change how it sounds. KITT always sounded like he was speaking from the voice modulator through a small speaker. William Daniels sounds very fleshy and alive in his other work, it just doesn't have the same feel to it.weeezl wrote:Dont know if this has been asked before or not, just wondering if anyone has used any sound clips of W D from Boy Meets World or St Elsewhere in their Kitt replica`s, ive never watched the shows before but I was looking at clips on youtube and he doesnt sound any different in any of his characters, I thought that there could be some interesting sound bites.

Re: William Daniels
i think i might have a crack at filtering some of his dialogue from other shows. I make my own tunes, electro house mainly so i got some good audio mangling software , this could be interesting.Stylez wrote:I've messed with some audio from other shows he was in and it just doesn't sound KITT like, I suppose you could run it through a filter to change how it sounds. Re: William Daniels
Here is a question and answer from a William Daniels interview that Val Kilmer should take note of...
So what made you make KITT sound so "human" instead of mechanical?
He's computerized, but I won't let him come on cold. I created KITT. I understand the personality of the car.

Wouldn't you just die if that was one of the secrets that GST had cooked up for Comic-Con? To announce that Daniels was back as KITT. That would be so awesome! But i know that'll never happen. Hopefully he can give some pointers to Kilmer though cause he needed a lot of work from where he was in the pilot but that could be because it was a rush job after arnett dropped out. It would be really cool if the included arnetts voiceover as a substitute audio track on the DVD.

I think Kilmer will bring some personality to the new Kitt, hes a good actor. The pilot K3000 was cold just like K2000 in KOTP, towards the end some of Kitts personality came through and throughout the series they became best buddies, Ive got this sneaky feeling it will happen again, maybe not the same kind of magic as the original but a new kind of man/machine bond, ooh er! lol.

Re: William Daniels
If WD is prepared to do voice work for Mio then its a definite possibility, even though he sounds more his age now if they did a MK/K2000 episode it would probably suit Kitt more, he would of changed after 20+ years of being mothballed anyway. Heres hopin they do that episodeKnight316 wrote:Wouldn't you just die if that was one of the secrets that GST had cooked up for Comic-Con? To announce that Daniels was back as KITT.
