DVD Season 3 Sound Missing

Post by Lauzzy81 » Fri Feb 10, 2006 4:42 am

Ok I just saw disc 2 on the Season 3 set and I must say that some of the sound effects are missing! Esspecially on the episodes Lost Knight & Knightlines! In Knightlines some shots of KITT driving, you can't here engine sound or his turbine and when Michael opens the door you can't here that either!

Maybe its because they've remastered the sound, it says on my dvd that it's Dolby Digital 2.0!

But it sort of sad, that we finally get this show on dvd and Universal can't even seem to make it right!

p.s. Sorry about my english

Yep, we're buzzy reeling over this here:

But we're still better off as fans than people of alot of other series.

There is a thread discussion going on about the Season 3 DVD set at the top of the page and yes it is a known problem with the missing SFX.

I've only seen a couple instances of noticeable missing sounds. I either attribute it to damaged original masters or mixing errors. The DVD version of the Hobbit had similar problems, in one part there was an entire audio track missing. I would say it was most likely not done intentionally, but was a result of incompotence.
