Re: House Of The Rising Sun Location Disclosed
Before this location was disclosed, I was wondering what are the words embedded in the ceiling (see red box in the picture below). It all makes sense now! The partial cue to the HOTRS was hiding in the scene after all! TEN........GI.....C..TT..Co. <=== you can make out only a few letters! Tennessee...

Re: House Of The Rising Sun Location Disclosed
Okay, now it's time that we figure out where the main Comtron building is! http://img338.imageshack.us/img338/1876/01pilotmpg003978025.jpg In the past, some have mentioned it being located on Avenue Crocker in Santa Clarita, but multiple scans of the area have turned up nothing... Let's find it in ...

Re: House Of The Rising Sun Location Disclosed
Okay, I've just gone through the entire scene, and that screenshot is definitely taken from the HOTRS/Tennessee Gin & Cotton Co. location, and not the Cal Islands one. The house roof in the background is quite distinctive, coupled with the fact that it appears that no such style of house was bu...

Re: House Of The Rising Sun Location Disclosed
As can be seen from my post count, I seldom post on here  , but I read this thread frequently, I have to say, major props to 1982 on finding/knowing/naming this location, :good: surely one of the Holy Grails (along with the cube Comtron HQ) of Knight Rider locations. I've posted a couple of G...

Re: House Of The Rising Sun Location Disclosed
Thanks Bryan, and thanks for the arrows. They point out the correct spot. I can assure you it is indeed the correct location. Pictures are far and few if any, at least publicly. Privately, I know of group cast pictures at the location. For a comparison between then and today, there is one way that I...

House Of The Rising Sun Location Disclosed
For years, many have wondered where, or looked for the location of the “House of the Rising Sun” from the pilot episode “Knight of the Phoenix”. A while back, I mentioned revealing the location. For those interested, I will now do so. The closest clue had been a place called “Cal Islands” in Santa C...

Re: A Shameless Reminder Plug
I tried to clarify the meaning of Larson’s statement that he made on the Knight Rider DVD set with another author. In his response, he was highly insulted at being corrected, insisting that the so-called “original 4” Larson received were indeed the “first 1982 Trans Ams” produced as per Larson’s own...

.....Today, we've posted an article on the Firebird from the 2008 pilot movie ..... Good luck with your website. To make your description complete, the car is a Firebird “Formula”. The VIN will verify it. The VIN will also verify that none of the documented “original 4 1982 Trans Ams” acquired for ...

Re: Special Announcement: Coming Summer 2012...
Good luck with your book. Your interviews should help you with filming locations, if you thought of it. I don’t know if you got to interview Charles Napier before he passed away, but that was an opportunity for the “House Of The Rising Sun” location and to see some cast photos taken there. Of course...

Hey, I was trying to find the filming locations of the beginning of KOTJ. Look at this: http://i55.tinypic.com/6xzotd.png http://i54.tinypic.com/1zbvyur.png Can anyone find the exact location of the guard booth, which was destroyed? The scenes depicted in above pictures were filmed during the recon...

Jon was one of the many uncredited of the series. He was involved in performance, build, and design modifications of many vehicles used in the series; stunt cars, trucks, etc. He built “Stealth” for Larson’s “The Highwayman” I give Jon credit for work done on a special KITT stunt car, built in ’83, ...

Truely A Sad Time In Hollywood - Stephen J. Cannell
A very sad time in Hollywood............
Along with the losses of Eddie Fisher and Tony Curtis,
"The Typewriter" of Stephen J. Cannell has been silenced.
Words can not begin to express the losses.

......Didn't you say you knew where the Rising Sun was? Well, this pretty much confirms another location in Santa Clarita for KOTP. OK, here's what I found out. I just did a complete scan of Rive...

The "KITT Chrome 1:64 produced by Johnny Lightning" is the very same "Johnny Lightning Chrome 1:64 - Musclecars - Release 18 - '84 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am - Cast Number 984 - Released April 2008", only repackaged.
Still plenty around to find.

Re: KITT in Smokey and the Bandit 3?
The Trans Am in Smokey and the Bandit 3 was a 1983 model, not a 1982. Pretty much a standard optioned car. It had a basic interior, not the same as used on the Knight Rider car. The model shown is inaccurate as it has the wrong seats. Probably just a left over 1982 model with an action figure. i do...

Re: Volo Museum's KITT
The car is indeed a Mark Custom "Replica", top to bottom.
Nothing about the car is or was screen used.
It is a replica Mark made from an 1983 Recaro Trans Am.
The Volo Museum is the same place "greeknight" got his Jack Sessums miniature model.
