KITT had an automatic transmission and no clutch at all.

I think Karr should have made way more appearances than only two. KITT vs KARR is a classic battle, they should have had KARR in a lot more episodes.

and now I know why they have the tinted windows for KITT in the following seasons !!! don't you notice that in the 2nd 3rd and 4th season.

yeah me too. I thought there should have been more episodes with KARR because KARR matches up right with KITT.

I only remember two episodes "trust doesn't rust" and "kitt vs karr". correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah I also heard that KITT was remote controlled so I used to think that KITT was remoted controlled in all the episodes.

I just bought the season 1 dvd last week and it's great I love it. But now that I watch it carefully I see that there is someone siting inside of KITT's driver's seat when KITT is driving by himself. You can tell because the driver's seat is so much fatter then the passengers plus in one sceen towar...

I heard somewhere that there might be a new series for Knight Rider. I think that would be great. I think if they get Glen Larson as a producer and some real good writers then it'll be good.

I definitly think that the original 80's trans-am forms the character of KITT. No other model or make would ever be able to be KITT. It would be interesting to see another car along with KITT.

I would have thought that it was not renewed after the 4th season for exactly the same reason because of all the stunts and special effects must have costed them tons of money for each episode. I just wanted to be sure why it was stoped after the fourth season.

I guess you are right there....back in the 80's, these things were'nt really thought twice of.
