Re: One Map To Show All The Locations!
It's asking me for admin keys on the map. I'm going to be going to New Orleans soon, so I'm going to rewatch Knight in Disgrace, map the locations, then visit them when I have some free time on the trip. EDIT: I found the pac-attack map, so I guess I don't need the keys to the map. I'll rewatch toni...

S01E11: "The Final Verdict" - What's with the seat?
In Netflix, if you watch "The Final Verdict," at 21:53, there's a huge round gash in the driver seat. What in the world did that?

KITT for the phone
I was wondering, has anyone gotten a voicebox from either Jupiter or elsewhere to work like the HAL 9000 iphone dock? I'm wanting to use that as a visualization for the audio out of my phone, and I'd love to get a blue KITT for Cortana. That would be utterly amazing! And when listening to podcasts o...

Re: KITT electronics functionality
I'm looking at the season 1 dash, comparing to season 3/4, and what's the propagationdelay for? I'm not sure how the definition of 'propagation delay' helps relate it to a car...it's the length of time it takes for a signal to reach the destination.

Re: Knight Rider Replica Map
I'm glad to help. Someday soon I'd like to do a Knight Rider tour of LA with my own replica and recreate some scenes.

Re: 1.08 - Trust Doesn't Rust
I can't find the Three Rings, which appears to be the corner of 9th St and Pacific Av (800 S?). There's a Thrifty drug store and a Firestone there, which may or may not be there today. I'm guessing Los Angeles? Okay: W 9th St and S Pacific Ave in San Pedro, CA. Kragen Auto Parts is in the place wher...

Re: KITT electronics functionality
Another thing that would be good on KITT - backup camera, backup radar sensors, and maybe even blind-spot cameras (especially for the two-TV dash). That would be amazingly useful in a car. My parents' van has cameras in the side-view mirrors, that when you turn on the turn signal, there's a display ...

Re: Base car to start a KITT/KARR replica
Very good info, thanks!
As far as engine, fuel economy, that kind of thing, is there any advantage to an 87 over an 84? Better engine or whatnot?

Knight Rider Soundtrack
Has anyone gathered a list of the music they used on Knight Rider together in one place? I'm watching S01E08 "No Big Thing" and they just played "Love's Been a Little Bit Hard on Me" and it's very early 80s... I'm looking to put together a travel playlist and thought a huge KR mu...

Base car to start a KITT/KARR replica
If I were to start a KITT/KARR replica, which models specifically could I use? I know the 1982 Trans Am, but wouldn't a 1986 work also? Anything later?
And is there any advantage to going with a later model than an earlier one? As in, better engine, electronics, fuel economy, etc.?

KITT/KARR swap-out
I was looking around the internet on the electronics and was wondering - had anyone made a swap-out voicebox? As in, pull out, pull off, then hook in KARR and it's done? That would make a lot of sense and let everyone have both KITT and KARR without having to buy two whole cars. If you look at the s...

Re: New Commercial Featuring David and KITT
Nice! I liked it. I wouldn't mind it being a series of commercials...maybe bring Mike Traceur and Sarah Graiman in to drive KITT (2K) or their KITT (3K) with (2K) pouting a bit about the new one. Have David call the other guy "son" for fun.

Just My Bill S01E06 - what's in the back seat?
I'm watching KR straight through, and in S01E06, what's the stuff in the back seat as Michael and Maggie are getting out? It's at 44:15-17 on Netflix. I'm wondering if that's some production stuff they might've just left in there for whatever reason.

Where's the gas station, and place where KITT did the 360's? I saw the map, but I don't think those locations are really accurate in the KR map

Re: Knight Rider Replica Map
I put quite a few locations on the map for filming locations when I was able to find them. I might restart the series now and go through location-by-location to help out. Hopefully I don't create too many duplicates. If you don't mind, I'll lay claim to season 1 filming locations starting from episo...

Re: KITT electronics functionality
2knight, good info there. That's another concern I had is when you've got all these electronics in the car, what happens on a hot day? I get 90°-105° from maybe June to August, so it's something to think about. How much did you tint your windows? And what's the carpet insulation / radiant barrier in...

Season 3 working dashboard questions
I found a graphic of the season 3 dash: http://www.freewebs.com/knightrider-kitt/season-3-dash-2002.png I was wondering what everyone's hooked it up to so that the meters and indicators on there actually work instead of just look pretty. The compass, I can tell, just hook it up to a compass or GPS. ...

Re: KITT electronics functionality
That does, yes. I have a few ideas, but want to make sure they're feasible/doable, so that's a good direction. -MP3 playback for music, podcasts, and audiobooks, either from in-car SSD or SD card. -voicebox used for: car voice responses / KITT, podcast audio, audiobook audio, phone call audio. Quest...

KITT electronics functionality
I read a long time ago of people putting some actual computers (actual hard drives, Pentiums, the works) into their Trans Ams to let them do voice activation and listen to mp3s from within their replicas. I was wondering what kinds of customizations do people do nowadays for their KITT replica cars?...

Speaking of functional abilities, the Audi S6 has enough cameras to make backup and turns easier than KITT had it. Has anyone seen this?

The bridge at 28:26, I'm not sure where that is, but the Parque Xalapa I found. The road where they line up for the second leg is S Village Oaks Dr. Cimarron Valley Lodge - doesn't appear to exist. Seen at 31:28. It looks, from the architecture, that it's the building at 1373 Center Ct Dr, Covina, CA.
