Cool! I'd definitely want the CD's. Hope they'll be readily available, like on amazon or something.

Re: Did you think oneday we would all be driving KITT cars?
I'm astounded at how many of the things that seemed like pure fantasy when we saw them on KR are now standard (or at least readily available) on most cars. GPS, for example... KITT could map out the quickest route to somewhere long before GPS became reality. You can even see the glimmerings of somet...

Love it. David is looking great (61? Unbelievable!), and he's still funny and able to laugh at himself.

Re: 1982 Trans Am "Dated?"
I think the Trans Am only looks dated because we've gotten used to seeing much boxier cars with more rounded lines. The TA was a great-looking car, and very distinctive. So many cars today look alike; you can hardly tell a Nissan from a Toyota.

Nitpicks
Has anyone else spotted any nitpicks or inconsistencies in the show? Either within episodes or within the show as a whole. Here's one that's always bothered me. In Blind Spot, when Julie is behind the wheel (KITT, of course, is actually driving), a cop spots them and gets on his radio, saying, "...

I preordered mine, and already have it! It's kind of cute... my older sister, who never saw the series, cracked up when she heard KITT talk.

I know what you mean. KITT in Super Pursuit Mode is as far as I'm willing to see them go down *that* road.JamesBondMustangGT wrote:I hope it's done right. As long as the car doesn't transform. That was to me what ruined the 2008 series.

As long as we're geek-dreaming, how about a MacGyver/KR crossover? That would be fun.

Ooh, now that's one sweet car! Love it. Too bad it never got beyond the concept stage in it's original form. I wouldn't mind having one.

Re: The Fate of "Junk Yard Dog's" Acid K.I.T.T.
Cool! Nice find. Don't know about anyone else, but Junk Yard Dog has to be one of my favorites, for the emotion we see from Michael, and for his words to KITT about overcoming fear. Which reminds me: in this episode, I think KITT shows the closest thing to emotion we ever see from him. It's interest...

KITTfan: Yep, that crossed my mind too! KARR was KR's version of Murdoc, he just kept coming back when they thought he was dead. Too bad the show didn't run long enough for him to return a third time.

One of KITT's best lines, from Return to Cadiz:
I'm not programmed to react to a girl's smile. You, on the other hand, are programmed to react to nothing else!
So true! LOL!

Re: Favorite lines?
More generally, most of the humor in KR is about the interaction between, on the one hand, a machine that is as intelligent as a human but doesn't feel or understand anything but the literal use of language; and on the other, a man who is just about as wonderfully human and complicated as you can get.

Yes, Michael always seems to forget that KITT doesn't understand slang or figures of speech. He takes everything literally... which is part of what makes their interactions so dang hilarious.

Was watching the "Under the Hood" feature on the first season DVDs, and I love David Hasselhoff's recollection of meeting William Daniels at the cast and crew holiday party during the first season. Funny!
William had the *perfect* voice for KITT. Can't imagine anyone else doing it.

Yep, everyone seems to love that one, Dave.
From White Bird:

Michael: I wouldn't go that far.
KITT: I beg your pardon?!

Hmmm... first one couldn't be Mouth of the Snake, could it? I don't know the episodes real well yet (only seen each one once), but I think there were a couple that involved rocket launchers.

Count me as one who'd love to see a KR calendar. And I agree that a KITT ornament should be a big hit for Hallmark. I'd definitely get one.
