I'd leave the voice modulator black. Most of the time the car isn't speaking. If it's painted red, that's like taking a "snapshot" of the car at the dentist, saying, "Ahhhhhhh."

Thanks for posting the images! The car looks great! It ain't perfect, but neither is the Voice Car, which is one of my favorite Knight Rider collectibles.

As for the grappling hook, maybe turning the front or rear wheels in reverse might pull it back in. Just a wild guess.

I'd much rather see a 1:18 "super pursuit mode" KITT than a KARR replica. There's never been a decent SPM KITT toy. Of course, a KARR would be much less costly to produce.

I guess it's clear why FLAG equipped KITT with an auto pilot feature.

In all seriousness, I wish "the Hoff" all the best. Alcoholism isn't easy to live with.

I was surprised by how much lower the video quality of KR2K was compared to the KR season-one episodes in the DVD set. The telefilm looked at least a decade older than the series.

I like what you're doing with the steering wheel. Although a fully circular wheel would provide better control than KITT's would, at least your wheel's "handles" have their curvature centered at the axis of the wheel. Very cool.

I think the basic shape of the "sawed-off" steering wheel looks better than KITT's actual design. At least the center of curvature for the handles is aligned with the rotational axis of the wheel.

^ I don't know about the 4000 not looking like a Knight Industries car, but I do think it's ugly.

I think KITT's "cockpit" is poorly designed from a user-interface perspective. On the other hand, it looks great, which for an action-based television series is all that matters.

The menu screen featuring KITT jumping is awesome! I wish that whoever made the KITT image on the box would be paid a few extra bucks to fix the hood... but beggars can't be choosers.

Now that I've finished my Twilight Zone and Babylon 5 DVD collections, I'm ready to take the plunge and buy Knight Rider on DVD. Yeeha!

I don't own any episodes of Knight Rider on VHS, so I guess I won't be doing anything with the tapes.

I'm looking forward to the DVD releases. I should probably finish my higher-priority collections first, though: The Twilight Zone and Babylon 5.
